Terrorism is an inapt word for it, sabotage is maybe more apt. You might damage vital infrastructure to sap morale, economic productivity, etc. You don't need to kill people to accomplish objectives, sometimes being a ball and chain is more than enough. I don't think this is that, though. If it was terrorism, why would they do it at night when nobody is on the bridge?
Look at the size of that ship and look at the size of the piersFucking hell, that thing just gave way like it was made out of wet tissue paper.
HOW?!Looking at the map of B'more, if one were to wish to totally close off a major eastern port, putting a collapsed bridge across the harbor like that would be a fine way to go about doing it.
Looks like the port *was* the 18th most active port in the country, and after New York, Hampton Roads, and Savannah, the 4th most active on the East Coast.
This is going to fuck up trade.
I think it was reported the vessel had some mechanical problems or was on fire before it collided with the bridge?Hey guys I'm a plane retard not a boat retard. Why were the lights on the boat flickering on and off on the Livestream before impact?
Holy fucking shit. That is just about as bad as it can get. Few places are worse. Maybe straight up detroit or compton or jew york.Baltimore DemographicsBlack or African American: 61.25% White: 28.42% Two or more races: 4.42% Other race: 3.02%
baltimore looks like a dick sticking out into the inner harborFYI, here's the Francis Scott Key Bridge in question, at the mouth of Baltimore's bay, part of the city's beltway I-695:

This is parallel to I-95, the main interstate running through Baltimore that connects to DC and Philadelphia.
Niggers aren’t people so, 60% odds are goodThis is horrifying. It's the middle of the night, hopefully not many people were driving on it![]()
Economic damage does not merit the same reprisal as an entire bridge full of rush hour traffic deaths would. But arguably, and this is cold to say, is the bigger win if you're targeting the United States. If it was terrorism, why would they do it at night when nobody is on the bridge?
I was wondering about the smoke too, i guess we can add that the boat was already on fire and mechanical failure to the list of wild cardsI think it was reported it was some mechanical problems or was on fire before it collided with the bridge?
oh no there's a second boatGetting 9/11 feels here.
Typically in port a large ship like this would be dragged via tugboats until it was clear of infrastructure and other ships and clear into a channel or the ocean. Not allowed to haphazardly navigate around a vital bridge at night. In some of the footage the ship looks as if it is on fire in a forward area. I cannot believe that they were legally operating at the time of the collision. Unless the harbormaster is inept.Terrorism is an inapt word for it, sabotage is maybe more apt.
You can see the ship look like its power is flashing on and off. And there is a fire somewhere on the ship. It also reportedly is at the bottom of the harbor as well after taking on water following the collision. Timeline seems to be that the ship was either suffering power failures at full speed and rammed into the bridge. Or this was an attempt to disguise deliberate sabotage by making it seem as if the ship was out of control. It looks like the ship is going full speed towards the bridge, cuts power, then slams into the bridge. Though maybe it loses power after.I think it was reported the vessel had some mechanical problems or was on fire before it collided with the bridge?
