No article yet as this just happened, but could be big. One of the largest bridges in the world according to Wikipedia.

What do we do with a drunken sailor
What do we do with a drunken sailor
What do we do with a drunken sailor
Early in the morning!
On that note this just in: exclusive footage of the ships captain at the time of the collision:

So.... how long do we think it'll be before somebody starts claiming they saw the mothman before this shit went down?

I swear, I'm starting to realize this place is filled with insane lunatics even worse than me for when it comes to how you all spin things to push your narrative rather than thinking deeply about it and realizing....sometimes, there's just nothing to back up here. I firmly believe it was the fault of the ship being just completely bullshit and breaking down, and it wasn't the fault of the crew for sabotaging the ship.

I will be more convinced if solid evidence comes up if it was indeed a sabotage momento, but for now, I firmly stand with what we got for now.
EDIT: Should've also said that the crew possibly worked a part in this situation as its filled with Pajeets who went against normal ship operations because they're retarded. But either way, not seeing it as malicious intent until further evidence comes out.

Baltimore is like the 15th busiest port in the US - if they wanted to disrupt shipping than they should have picked a bigger port.

There are other ports on the east cost which have been expanding since the Long Beach BS during COVID... so my guess is there is enough excess capacity along the eastern seaboard to handle this while they clear the old bridge structure.
Plus, if they really wanted to, they'd target something bigger in the area like the Bay Bridge a little bit further down south. This was just pure error on the ship itself.
Give it two weeks and people will have forgotten about this. Unless you live in Maryland have to commute from both sides of the Bay.

AeN is constantly the most retarded board on this site, no wonder Null said back in 2022 that he wanted to get rid of it once he had the opportunity. Everytime I come here I have to force myself to not to bait the people here
I remember one plan was to give it its own website. I can only wonder if we’d be able to have the same usernames and login credentials, because I can already think of a great new one.

LMAO if you think diversity hires are a thing in international shipping. Most international shipping companies are unhappy they are kept slightly above indentured slavery conditions when it comes crewing ships. Plenty have described the ships as crewed by virtual slave labor when they come out of Asia. They like to hire crews out of Asia and Eastern Europe to keep costs low.
Fun fact, most of the worlds sailors are Filipino, this should give you an idea of the average quality of your typical commercial seaman.

If it makes it any easier to cope, imagine that the Thunderdome is all kayfabe and Da Jooz / NWO are just the designated heel

My step dad works in shipping and he shed some light to me on how this happen and it is the fault of the EPA. When Biden took office one of the first things he and the EPA did was put new regulations on the types of engines that ships are allowed to use. Only green energy friendly engines can be used for these ships. These ships need a lot of power to function and these new green energy engines are not cutting it. It is uncommon now for ships to lose power while sailing in the water. People have lost their jobs and lives from how bad these new engines are when before you had no problems with the old engines.
Congrats, you just made the single most informative post in this thread that I've read so far.

That said, the first thing I would do is investigate is whether the corporate entity (Synergy Group?) that owned or operated the ship was cutting costs at the expense of basic operational safety.
It's possible they were. It's equally possible they didn't. This really just seems like a freak accident. Nobody is going to pay for this. They're a maintenance company for vessels. They don't own these ships, they perform routine maintenance but they're probably not the primary owners. What malfunctioned could've been caused by it simply not being a part of maintenance and getting overlooked. It could've just been a freak accident. They do happen. Or it could've been a remote cyber attack. Who the fuck knows.

Discussions of the bridge aside, i'm more curious about some things:
  1. How fucked is the economy?, did it block the harbor, and if so, by how much?
  2. How long will the clean up take?
  3. How will this look on biden in a election year?
  4. How bad will they try to spin this?
FINALLY AN INTELLIGENT QUESTION!

1. Fucked. That's the 2nd largest port on the east coast and the port is entirely blocked.

2. Years depending on how shallow the water is.

3. Depends what he does about it.

4. Trump/Putin did it.

It's time to require all ships seeking entry into US ports to be registered with a country that holds them to effective standards for maintenance and modifications. If they don't do that, they don't dock at our ports. We should also have the right to inspect ships and if they are in violation to hold them in port until the issues are addressed to our satisfaction. There's no right for foreign ships to dock at our ports, if they don't comply we have every right to bar entry.
PPPFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTT... That's cute. That will NEVER happen. We already do our own inspections, but that being said, chinks, pajeets, Charlies, Africans, none of them will comply with any edict you put into place. The rest of the world doesn't legally answer to the US. The rest of the world will just not trade with us. We need their goods. The US manufactures nothing. That's why the shipping world is so fucked up. We can't even hold them liable to pay for shipping so much so we had to establish foreign international credit insurers. What makes you think we'll ever be able to enforce that?

Someone got a pic of all the boats lined up near the Bay Bridge waiting.
I'm so glad I don't work in international shipping. GL to everyone re-routing those vessels to NY, CHS, and MIA!

Well new fear unlocked.

No pajeets jumped overboard before the crash?
Maybe after the bridge fell. Before then being on board that ship was probably the safest place you could be.

According to my local lunatics, this was done purposefully as a distraction from Donald Trump's epic win, or whatever.

I looked at 4chan's /pol/ to try to get more videos about this event, and one of the first comments in the discussion really spoke to me, even if it were a machine. The comment bemoaned how everyone is a fucking schizophrenic nowadays.

I don't know about that as according to @MirnaMinkoff the ship may not have meet EPA standards and still may have had its diesel engine. However, according to my step dad, even with high power diesel engines it is uncommon for the power to go on and off as a lot of energy is needed to make these ships function. They are after all pulling hundreds of tons of cargo. It is much like how a brown out happens in California. Too much energy is needed to make something run which leads it having a brown out.
