The whole "Public Transit is Better for the disabled." sounds like someone who has never thought about it. For a wheelchair I imagine: Having to get to the bus, wait for the ramp, get on, hope there's a spot, get off at the train station, hope one of the elevators works, maybe even not filled with shit piss and needles, get on train, hoping for a spot again, get off train, back to bus to wherever you're going and then still have a haul from the bus stop to your actual destination. Similarly bad for people who can't move long distances. In a car you get in at your house and we have dedicated parking at most places so your walking/wheeling will be minimal and you can easily carry/transport stuff like groceries, etc.
