What is up with this guy and gloves?
I've always noticed, in a subconscious sort of way, that he has a thing about gloves, but it's only now that I've
really noticed it. While this:
I suppose the glove obsession is to cover these big old hands, he probably realised that applying big talons to them just made them look even more disturbing huge on camera.
is probably true, I think on a psychological level, it's clear that something about the sight of women's hands in gloves (along with feet in heels, and flesh in latex) really strokes his AGP in
just the right way.
I remember a female friend once said to me that she found men wearing gloves creepy/scary. I didn't get what she was talking about, but ironically it's only after observing Olly wearing gloves so much that I might finally have come to understand.
The whole dynamic with Nigella was horribly uncomfortable
This is another thing that's really brought itself to my attention in this post. Most of his outfits can be placed into the categories of "stripper/porn actress", "Contra skinwalking/avant garde/(aiming for) high fashion" and "dainty English rose", but I think this is another important one - dressing like his mum/motherly figures. Basically his views about women are all summed up in this way - Madonna-whore complex with a dash of Oedipus thrown in for good measure.
Also (a minor sperg) this really is an impossibly lazy attempt at a Britannia costume. Britannia is basically a modified version of Athena:
So instead of a Roman helmet, he should be wearing a Corinthian helmet, instead of the baggy sleeved shirt he should be wearing a sleeveless
chiton and instead of the weird oriental spear, he should be holding Britiannia's trident. And for some reason he decided a 19th-century cuirassier's breastplate was the right choice? I'm nitpicking here, but it's all just very dumb.
My two favourite/least favourite Choobfits are a couple of deep cuts:
Trans Pride 2021

Not a YouTube outfit, but I couldn't not mention it. Uncomfortably short and doesn't fit. Golden laurel crown belies the fact he thought he was becoming voice of the movement. Wouldn't want to be around him if there was any risk of a gusty breeze. Also he actually wore this out rather than just in a studio. 2
.5/10
This is just such a terrible choice. Of all the the unflattering/ill-fitting things he's worn, this might be the most unflattering and ill-fitting. While Olly is frequently a man in a dress, here he approaches the Platonic ideal of 'man in a dress'. He looks like a groom on a stag night who's been forced to wear this by his friends. On top of which, his hair is especially scraggly and unfeminine, and that, as well as the harsh daylight really emphasise how mannish and big his face is. Can't tell if he's wearing make-up, but if he is then it's done nothing to soften his features.
And the laurel wreath! I never noticed the laurel wreath! Like he's a Roman emperor leading a triumph. That extra touch of trying and failing to be a charismatic demagogue whipping up the masses, that ludicrously inflated ego, is just the icing on the cake here.
The Prince

Maybe this was more 2022, but the trailer for The Prince was 2023. I think the idea was to dress as "trans" as possible, which he achieved. Unpleasant to look at, 3
/10.
And this one. No other look sums up his pretension so much. The heroic glance to heaven, accepting his destiny as princess of TERF island. The sword and armour crontrasting with the pink slave collar, crop top and nails. The fact that of course none of the other cast members are allowed to be on the promotional material.
But reaching for the sublime he lands face down in the ridiculous. His bulky upper torso is emphasised by the cropped denim jacket. His vast chubby midriff and moobs are emphasised by the pink top. His man hands are emphasised by the effete pose over the sword.
As trans as possible indeed.
