McDonalds - I'm Lovin' It

Wendy's, Jack in the Box and Carl's Jr. (or Hardee's) have better selection of burgers, respectively
I don't really like either of them.
It's been long since I've had their deli food. I do love their fried chicken
It's good when it's right out of the fryer but not if it's been sitting there for a while. Also their rotisserie chicken is nice, but Costco rotisserie chicken is better.

Most Walmart locations in the US have Subway while only some have McDonalds left. A lot of locations that have McDonalds closed three years ago
One of my local Walmarts still has a McDonald's. Given them more money than I care to admit lol. Haven't seen a Walmart with a Subway in years.

I want a filet o'fish so bad today bros.

They're so good.
As a kid, I've always loved their Filet o'Fish. I got back to having it starting two years back and needless to say, it's still so great

Do you know if they always came in a box?

It's the only thing on the menu I can eat due to medical stuff.

It's so good. I love the half slice of melted cheese, and the perfect pillowy soft steamed bun.

I ask for it to be cooked to order so it'll be the perfect warm temperature when I get home.

It seems like the amount of tartar sauce is very inconsistent. I may have to ask for some on the side.

The only question is: when will I get this sandwich? Will it be today?

I think the issue with McDicks prices is that they are staying ahead of the inflation curve while the rest of the restaurant industry is getting felted. You generally want a 25 to 30% margin on your items from just the base cost of it in order to stay ahead of labor and facility costs. So that you turn a profit. The problem for everyone is the price of Food has been skyrocketing and the consumer base is getting sticker shock. Its not just McDonalds. Five Guys is starting to eat shit too for their prices. As for the Independent stores can't keep up as their prices are more sticky then the big boys. Chic Fil A is able to thread the needle due to the fact chickens are dirt cheap and as Beef has skyrocketed in price producers have increased Chicken production to meet the new demand for Chicken. Chicken Meat is also more adaptable to scaling up which is why you've not seen eye watering price increases as compared to beef.

Its still retarded high though. A packet of Chicken thighs that cost 1.99 four years ago will now set you back 4.99.
I think part of it is them trying to push people into the app more, too

They inquire about rather or not I'm using the app (which I'm not) before they even ask for my order when I'm in the drive through
It seems like the app has a lot of problems, often doesn't connect or doesn't work. People don't know when to scan the coupons. Some people need to connect to the restaurant's wifi but aren't willing. A lot of people don't understand they can't apply multiple coupons to make their order 30 cents like an extreme couponer. Being in the store, I've seen so many issues.

I actually made a teenager working there laugh recently when I complained that the app wasn't allowing me to pay my rent through my bank account.

How about a side of donuts with that Big Mac?

The future is looking bright

Culver's North Atlantic cod is so much better. As is Popeyes flounder sandwich although they only have that during Lent.
Sodium is off the charts. Best to just avoid other fish sandwiches.

By the way, guys, I got mine yesterday! I ate half of it and the texture was to die for.

I feel like a dick, but next time I'm going to have to ask that they carefully and deliberately assemble the sandwich. My previously stated theory that they put halves of the ingredients in each side of the box and close the box is correct: it's absolutely impossible for them to get the filet and melted cheese placed correctly. It's always severely off-center. Sometimes they even put the cheese on the tarter side, since they're applying to the the filet and the flipping it all shut.

I hope they ad an in-store microwave for warming them. That would be amazing.

It seems like the app has a lot of problems
I've had two primary issues with it:
1) It sucks at switching between breakfast menu and regular menu and you have to like force close it and wait until almost 30 minutes after breakfast ends for it to work right.
2) It never saves my favorite McDicks and changes locations on me automatically without me choosing it, which has fucked me at least once by ordering to the wrong location.

McDick's is actually the best of the major ones in terms of sodium, but seriously, if you eat something higher sodium like once a month it isn't going to fuck your shit up, especially if you don't go wild on salt in anything else. And apparently the Not-So-Big-Lately Mac is the healthiest of their offerings unless you want to get a QP with nothing on it but lettuce and onions.
