When she says this stuff it weirdly destroys me inside cuz.. well Robyn if you hadn’t suffocated this girl with your snatch… you could actually have a little girl who wants to wear rainbows today and wants her mommy to match her. *sigh*

Robyn looks like she’s about to pop like a pimple. She looks really big this time around for some reason. Hope she doesn’t end up with a kiddo with a big head. Would end up needing a c section or having a tear of a life time.
Every other time I see Luna I swear that one arm is more and more curled up. It was just her wrist once but now it’s just the whole arm. Speech therapist is just there to be there.

It is her brain stem, it is responsible for the breathing reflex (unless you think about it, you just breathe automatically, this is true for everyone), her heart beating, and other similar, primative reflexes.

Luna as a person is not there, she is brain dead. All that's left is a healthy body with no medical conditions. She's can't even intentionally swallow, as that's not a brain stem function.
She's not quite "brain dead" yet. I apologize for being a pedant, but I think it's important for discussion about this topic to be clear and accurate, because it's the kind of thing everyone might need to know someday. Confusion about the exact meaning of "brain death" abounds, especially online, but in clinical terms, it is the complete and permanent cessation of all electrical activity in the brain, including that which controls the primitive autonomic functions of the body, like heart rate and breathing.

Luna isn't brain dead, because some very ancient parts of her brain are still working, fulfilling the minimum requirements her body has in order to remain alive. This is actually a typical pattern of injury to the brain arising from a hypoxic-ischemic event at or around the time of birth. In general, this type of injury affects supratentorial structures, while the infratentorial region, including the pons and medulla, is relatively spared.

Robyn had one duty as a mom, probably the most sacred duty — protecting her child. She was so focused on her ego that she sacrificed Luna on its alter.

I’m not shocked Luna suggested they wear rainbows. Several hundred pages back, Robyn was discussing how Luna is a Level 976 Empath Womb Wizard or some other nonsensical bullshit. Luna aids in readings, communicates telepathically, etc. I have said it before but I hope Atlas majors in one of the sciences or mathematics, goes to MIT and (rightfully) cuts his narc parents out of his life (especially if he has his own kids someday).

How can she eat the ice cream if she can’t swallow?

I don’t blame the speech therapists for showing up. SLPs are usually extremely nice mommy types. I think they know it’s hopeless but try to give Luna whatever helpful therapies they can.

No worries! Thank you for clearing it up! I find it all very fascinating :)

I shall amend my statement then, to "every part of her brain except her brain stem is not functioning, they got replaced by cysts."

I still personally consider her dead and her body just has not been allowed to wither and pass on. (like removal of a feeding tube since she can't fucking swallow on her own at all)

Edit: I just had a horrifying thought. Do you think Robyn would pull a stunt like that other mom with that 13 year old? For the life of me I can't remember his or his mother's name but our dear Sneeder did a person stream over her and her son. She refused to take him off the vent when was ACTUALLY brain dead and his brain started rotting insids of his skull 🤢🤮

Archie Battersby.

Honestly, I could see Robyn doing the opposite; she's got a new (hopefully) healthy baby and Luna will start to put a crimp on her picture-perfect family aspirations. It's a grim thought, but her deliberately trying to speed up the process feels like something she'd be capable of doing.

Robyn thrives on being a spud mum, she’s more likely to use the new baby as a photo prop next to Luna.

I've been catching up on Tard Baby General, and user Cuddle Striker (I won't summon them unnecessarily) noted back in 2020 regarding a different baby that (paraphrasing) if you have a brain stem plus even a tiny bit more, then not only can you experience pain, but basically your whole life is pain. All you'd know is pain. I think this was in reference to Kayli, but not sure.

I read this last night and I keep mulling on it - is this true? I've been placating myself in thinking that Luna can't feel anything, really, but since her brain was slowly replaced by cysts I'm worried there's enough matter there for pain. Someone please tell me I'm misunderstanding because it's making me Sad On The Internet.

This is not true. The spinal cord sends pain signals from the nerves but if there is no thalamus the signals cannot be processed. Sensory signals have to be sent to a few parts of the brain none of which I suspect luna has.
