Oh Phil will have to get a real job soon enough. Unless if he is defying the odds and not currently racking up credit card debt. And I don't mean next year, but in like a genuine 10 years from now kind of thing. There is going to come a point where his Youtube money will finally not add up with his bills. Because he is only accumulating credit card debt, with interest on top. And we are seeing that the whales are not actually limitless.

And Phil can in fact find a job. Goddamn chomos get jobs. In public facing places. The TCAP predators have been spotted doing shit like stocking shelves. Like it or not, any company that hired DSP, would protect him from harassment while he was there. And thankfully for DSP he would really only have to worry about Doody mush mouth screaming about him grooming leanna as some poor middle manager has to call the cops to get that retard to shut the fuck up.

Like really, the only deterrant to Phil's employment would be himself. And I wonder when Phil keeps acting like an obstinate faggot. Is he 55 screaming at a manager about being 25 minutes late again, isn't that big of a deal? 60 years old and telling the floor supervisor to shove it if he takes 65 minute bathroom breaks?

I have never been more curious about Phils money, than I have been about what happens post BG3

When I had shitty retail/restaurant jobs, people like Phil usually ended up being a manager. Normal, healthy people can't take on 12 hour shifts 6 days a week. Normal people can't drop everything to come to work because some teenager had a hangover and didn't want to come in. Normal people can simply get better jobs, most of the time.

Instead, it was people like Phil who have nothing but their job going for them. When the money is gone, he will 100% lose Kat and the house, maybe even his literal cat. He seemingly has no friends outside of his stream mods, who will also be gone as soon as the content is. Instead, he'll have a shitty, empty apartment he can barely afford with nothing else. That's going to be depressing as fuck to go home to after the million chances for a better life he's had, so I bet he'd reliably show up to work and become a shitty manager screaming at underpaid employees all day.

There's no point in even considering the angle of Phil getting a real job, firstly because it will never happen, but more importantly even if he did, nothing would change. Phil already has a 'job' that makes him six figures a year, and has for a long, long time. Yet he's broke, because he's addicted to wasting money. If he had to stop streaming and get a shitty 9-5, he would still have the spending problem, only with a massively reduced amount of income. This would lead to bankruptcy #2 (when would he be eligible again? 2027?) and/or homelessness.

ReviewTechUSA super chatted Phil last night. This is the same sock name he’s been using to beg Jay to come back on his show.

Phil can't even show up to his own stream on time and buys paper plates because he is too lazy to wash up, I've no idea why people think he could do even a low level management job.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. His "workplace" is just down the hall from his bedroom and he doesn't have to get there until 11 am. Still can't do it. He has been fired from every job he's had and he's only gotten significantly worse since then. How anyone thinks he can even work at mcdonalds without being fired is beyond me, let alone getting a job in the first place. He will never get a job. If the youtube money runs out he will just scam the welfare system or something.

Because you don't actually need to be a good worker or necessarily reliable to get these low level retail management jobs. Some of the biggest scumbags and losers I've met occupy these positions.

I don't think he's even good enough for retail management, I've seen it mentioned a week ago or so but the only job other than apparatchik politician that he could do is as a low level manager in a sales department because he fits the profile to a T (RIP). He can spend the entire morning berating the sales reps under him, dragooning them into making more and more sales, yelling about how "we" have to do better and hit the ever increasing sales targets but it's "you" fucking everything up, then just retreat to his office where he'll spend most of the day pulling in WWE Champions. Every so often while his energy bar in WWE Champions is recharging he'd stand his lazy ass up to check up on the poor souls that are under him so he can micromanage and berate them some more.

I think you're forgetting what a complete bitch he is in real life, and his rants only work against the Jaydes of the world where he can hide behind a block button.

What happened in May?
Copy right strikes that threatened his business so he deleted several bottom bitch podcasts. Of course this tanks the views for said month. But still, Phil's viewership is basically reduced to his dents and detractors who scour his videos for gold dust (or as Gundam put it, sifting through trash to find garbage). I would like to know how the details look. How is the avergae viewer retention. do most just click on the video, watch a few seconds and clock out? Views alone aren't what keeps the video relevant after all.

Yes it was when he had the "my name is" intro from eminem's song along with andy dick pronouncing "darks fa dil" in a cameo. Whatever dent didn't alter Marshal's voice at all so the owner of that song's rights (or probably just youtubes anti-piracy software) gave strikes against DSP for copywrite violation.

EDIT: It was literally the Machinima debacle all over again, the man can't comprehend what he reads, Youtube explicitly says deleting the offending videos won't solve the channel strikes, you have to appeal the strike. DSP, in his continuing infinite intelligence, still deletes the struck videos because that's just how it should work?

Let's be real here: Phil will never get a "real" job. for one, despite all the "Give me money" begs he is still making good cash on Youtube. Yes his numbers are DYING
(his main channel has now solidly fallen below 500k views a month)

but his few whales are still propping him up. As long as they have the means and Phil doesn't piss them off (oh oh) he will keep doing the same thing. Of course we have seen especially this year that he is conditioning his dent base to support him in his reACK style content but from what I have seen those are still the same whales. If Argentina keeps bombing him (or another country should Argentina's economy stabilize) he will have to rely on them more and more. Hopefully that means he will have to play games he hates and show how dumb he is. Heck the BG 3 ending was probably his inner secret happy ending with him getting married to John (or T?)
The subscriber number chart is another sign of this too. Considering that you need to subscribe just to chat (or troll him as some do), only gaining about 25-30k in subscribers over almost 3 years of streaming 300 days a year is pretty sad. And like you said, it's a lot of the same whales that date back to the Twitch. Organic growth is non-existent.

Yeah, I'd love to see Phil's actual analytics. I really doubt hes making anywhere close to six figures through YouTube. Who the fuck is watching a 10 year old gameplay video that's part 63 of an 91 part series where the camera is pointed toward the TV? Majority of his Channel has to be dead and he's likely got really bad viewer retention with a low recommended clickrate.

So if the conspiracy theories are true and 1MM got replaced by gametrekker i wonder if that tip warning Phil of potentially loosing someone important is about him.
We know he had to leave because Phil was too negative on SF6 and it started to get to him so it wouldnt surprise me if the way he acts about BG3 takes him to a breaking point
Phil's reaction was also very interesting , he normally just gives a fake nice "agree to disagree" kind of response to whales and moves on but he probably perceived that tip as a threat so he gave one of his assholish responses of the "im right you're wrong " kind

That one's not so far-fetched, I'm sure their warehouses hire anyone who can pass the mirror test.
Microsoft and Amazon would 100% hire DSP. Not for anything good but those aren't exactly hard places to get a job. The helicopter company he already worked for would have been a harder place to find work than Microsoft or Amazon. He'd probably do fine at some low level office job where he just had to do the same thing all day every day, as long as he didn't interact with his coworkers or anyone else he'd do a better job than he does streaming that's for sure.

Him wasting money is a issue he has ALWAYS had and has NEVER dealt with, because he was always bailed out of shit he caused by his own stupidity. When he was working at the helicopter company, he admitted he used to spend HUNDREDS of dollars on scratch off's and win $10-15, he was an ATM for the FGC, he spent THOUSANDS of dollars on those statues that are now collecting dust in that nook in his mature adult house, he bought a BMW he didn't need, he bought a condo, abandoned it, and bought another condo in a state he knew nothing about because he thought "Well, Washington doesn't have a income tax, so...fuck it! That's the promise land." Not realizing King county, the country Phil resides in, has some of the highest property taxes in the state and a B&O tax.

All because Phil has the mentality that there is always someone to bail him out. There's always another paypig, there's always his dying parents - well, they're not dying, but they're old and they can die at any moment - there's always someone to bail him out.

I don't see Phil ever being homeless, but I see two options: Bankruptcy 2: Electric Bugaloo or crawling back to living with his parents. Phil will go on YET another payment plan, as I do think that the pandemic helped the pig, and the judge wasn't doing her due diligence, because that form had more holes in it than David Hassleoff's liver...and I think Phil would have to go on a payment plan....or, reality FINALLY beats down the pigpen and he has NO choice but to sell everything and go back to mommy and daddy Burnell.

Whatever happens to Phil, because it will come, he'll go "I did nothing wrong, dood! I swear! Those fucking detractors ruined my life, dood!" Yet, he will never claim responsibility for his actions, because Phil is on the levels of Kim Jung Un and his stream is the United States of Burnell: he is the law, he is the state....until the IRS comes crashing down his door looking for their money.

I was just about to post how I think Phil would crawl back to his parents before ever getting a real job. Honestly, I think he'd be happier in the long run and it's just his pride that would be hurt. But deep down, all Phil really wants is a mom to cook for him and a room to play video games in. The only potential issue is his parents pushing him to do something with his life. It's hard to tell how likely that is, sometimes Phil makes his parents out to sound like they're cutting him off/only helping him this one last time, but then other times they're sending expensive gifts and buying overpriced holiday meals for him.

It's hard to say with Phil because he's a chronic liar. It's possible he made up the 10 year plan stuff (or exaggerated the severity) so his paypigs won't think "I don't need to send for this emergency because his family will bail him out." It's also possible the QVC meals are being paid for out of pocket and he lies about his mom buying them to try and cover up a massive waste of money to his paypigs so he can keep up his eternal victim status.

It's not a stretch to say Phil's parents spoiled him as a tiny piglet, so even if they're trying to put on a tougher facade now that he's an adult, I don't know if they'd carry through with it. If Phil lost the condo, I'd be shocked if they wouldn't let him move back in. Maybe they'd make a show of saying he can only do it if he does XYZ and it's a temporary thing...but once he's there, I don't think they'd actually enforce anything. Mom Burnell might even be happy to have her son back so she has someone to go to the salon with.

It's definitely not Phil's first choice because losing the goutmansion is a huge blow to his ego, but I'm sure he'd spin it as him returning home to take care of his sick and ailing parents or something, tacked on with how much Seattle sucks because of rising Door Dash prices and it not having authentic Italian pizza like some random CT restaurant. Maybe with a line thrown in there about how it's not safe because of detractors while vaguely alluding to it being better for business because of gaming events around Boston/New York that he'll never go to.

*Quick edit* And this is all way later down the line of course, not something that's happening within the next few years. I think Phil's been slowly circling the drain for years and slowly bleeding out year by year, but even going from low six to high five figures is far from heralding the end of Phil. Phil is awful with money and has a serious addiction, but he's just above the worst addicts in that he can prioritize his house over his pulls. But he has no concept of saving for the future or the like, so he's very much a case of he'll continue to float by for a long time until he finally can't, and it's going to take a long time to finally hit that point.

I think Linda is still spoiling Philip, and it's likely now that 10 year plan was made up while he was riding the high of proving himself as a Mature Adult with his new wife.

Phil learned absolutely nothing from his bankruptcy. He's spending more than ever on Champions, all of his tip money recently. While his income is slowly, but surely declining.

He's banking on when his parents finally die, he's getting all their money and they'll always save him if anything bad happens before that. Even an idiot like Phil would have realized by now that he can't do this forever without that insurance bailout.
