Sean Combs' Los Angeles home was raided Monday by Homeland Security officials, Fox News Digital confirmed. Agents were also seen at his home in Miami.

"Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners," Homeland Security Investigations said in a statement.

"We will provide further information as it becomes available."

Always figured the point of the entertainment industry making minors sign contracts is simple coercion. I think that's apocryphal, since he did that in 1993 and then released another album with WB in 1994. He was apparently upset with them over how they were treating his back catalog so it was at least somehow a conflict with WB. I also think he may have been literally trolling. I think he had multiple reasons for doing it, as he gave multiple, contradictory reasons for it at different times.

He cited the back catalog thing and that he couldn't release music as often as he wanted, and when he was most pissed off, actually put "SLAVE" on his forehead or something when in concert, but then when directly confronted about it in interviews, would say that other than a couple points of conflict, he generally got along with WB.

I can see that because he was such a prolific songwriter he'd often give away songs. Like "Nothing Compares 2 U" to Sinead O'Connor and "Manic Monday" to the Bangles. Of course he actually released Nothing himself, but he had an immaculate knack for knowing an artist and just "oh yeah I can write you a hit that defines you, no problem."

He was resentful of the label owning his music and dumped them when his contract was up, but he didn't actually breach it, just bitched about it.

And then he signed another deal with WB 20 years later.

I still think trolling was at least part of it because he didn't like music "journalists" either.
