General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

All I am getting from this is the guy that runs the site gets mad when anyone decides to dick around.

He sounds butthurt,
Did you miss what happened last time? When someone called Kirsche fat in his Discord and the massive spergout on the forum that followed after that? But to be fair in this case, I agree that Reticule takes it way too far with the larping. To the extent that I'm not even sure anymore if it's just a larp or if he's completely serious.

After the 500th meat post it got a little weird.

I just read all of it as a joke. But he can probably do with turning it down a notch. Play acting the crazy person is only funny to people for so long.
Nigger I don't care about your offsite drama if you're being a petty sperg about irrelevant shit and not posting about your autistic appreciation of anime ventriloquists then stfu.

Lando talking about being a vtuber in the future again, how he feels he failed as a vtuber, and Randon being better at not bitching than he is.

Probably there is more, but that clip is 30 minutes and, like James, I don't have time. So, any better summary is appreciated.
Having sped through the video, it seems like he got majorly fucked over by something while he was still at Cover, and felt like he was getting pushed out either way, and in the end decided to leave himself. The part about Randon also implies that he didn't have a great time either, and I guess he quit out of solidarity for his platonic life partner.

No. Someone linked that.

It’s just there’s something special when you actually hear such a sperg and upset butthurt is the sound they make when speaking normal.

just noting while watching for those who can't/don't care enough to watch:

>Feels out of place orbiting a bunch of vtubers as a fleshtuber
>working with a designer on model concepts, giving them "as much control as possible" and letting them do their thing
>Feels his feedback to the designer became micromanaging and made the direction worse
>too early to show anything
>"The concept needs to be finished and we're maybe on the last third on the progress", then proper model and rigging
>Will likely be on a new channel, separate from ProfessorLando
>"I see vtubing as a special medium. It's a character. It's separate from myself"
>Flesh streams might be much more rare, possibly never, he's struggling over it
>"I think I can be a better vtuber than a normal streamer"
>"I feel I have so much more in the tank"
>Will still do Professor Lando videos/Ligma University
>"Vtubing's not about money. Business wise it makes no fucking sense for me"
>"I have a creative sauce in me that can't be fully explored in Ligma University"
>Views youtube videos as business, streaming is much more fun
>Videos will still be his bread and butter
>Total vtuber model costs expected to be five figures
>Wants to try vtubing again, even if it ends poorly
>has "baggage" with vtubing, obviously dissatisfied with how Magni ended
>Calls Randon one of his best friends :heart-full:
>Has been feeling a lot of personal pressure since leaving Holostars to "just do it"
>Calls his personal history with vtubing the only negative thing hanging in his life
>Tried and failed to completely cut all things vtubing from his life
>Feels he wasn't given a chance to try
>"Even when I started, negativity was already seeping in"
>Never got to "have fun with it"
>Regrets not trying as an indie vtuber first
>"There's a million things I'd like to say, but I can't. I never will"
>Respects Doki for going fullbore and calling her fans Dragoons again
>Meeting Randon was worth the hardship, wished they lived closer
>Sees he feels an anger that was not there before Holostars
>"It kinda fucked me up, not gonna lie"
>"I don't care if I stream to 50 people, I gotta try again"
>"I'm in a better place now, but it's just this anger. I get very angry sometimes... I literally can't see straight."
>Says it motivates him to seek more satisfaction in life, hanging with friends and parents more, etc.
>Special shoutouts to his punching bag
>"I don't know why, my tits are always hard."

She unblocked him and his immediate response... oh boy.

Well yeah. He was restricted in what he could by the nature of being in a corpo. And just that can mess you up badly.
and felt like he was getting pushed out either way,
Which is understandable. If you clearly aren’t a right fit for the company you will probably be gently forced to keave.

Especially now a lot of people probably shouldn’t join corpo. The tools are there for indies now and most of them don’t need an entire agency to do what they want.

Cause most VTubers just want to use it as a mask when streaming they do not really want the idol aspect that comes with corpo vtubing.

Is Magni saying Holostars was Niji tier or did he spend too much time on /vt/?

I think he is just seething (he does describe still being very angry) at how Holostars was given some black marks due to the unicorn thing, the fact that his model was shit, and describes how he wasnt used to corpo or regular vtubing.
COVER did fuck up with some of the branding but considering the rest of the EN boys have been stabilizing and inclining now, i think he is just overly bitter and cynical about how he didnt get to prove he could be a vtuber before all of /vt/ and some of the wider community bitched at him for the sole crime of being a homostar

Suprisingly enough, Vesper seems to handle it better if Lando's words are accurate

It surprised me that Cover let people in that were not used to that. Most of the talent they hire otherwise has a proven track record of it or at the very least connections to it.
Kiara, Mori and Ina didnt have any vtubing experience iirc, i dont think Kronii or Sana had any either, Nerissa only had a brief vtubing career as sidehustle, the gamble on picking up people who are good at streaming or content creation but not necessarily vtubing has worked out for them. Especially considering this was Holostars Gen 1 too. i forgot about ID3 but EN3 was one of the first times they picked up mostly vtuber vets or atleast people experienced with it like FWMC and Shiori, i think Nerissa and Bijou were the outliers, the former was a sidehustle to her singing career, the latter was fulltime but still relatively green

Technically speaking Ina used to be a vtuber before Hololive

I think he severally underestimated how scuffed the first year for most Holo Vtubers were.
It's a corpo JOB for a reason sure you can have fun and games with you're friends but there are outstanding factors that will always hold you back when working for a corporation.
Not trying to defend Cover over here but If he had read the contract thoroughly and discussed issues with the managment team they would probably of given him a broad spectrum of shit he wasn't allowed to do.
I honestly think he got a gig with the biggest Vtubing company and blew his load to early without properly thinking it through.
