About Hot Topic, I think even the "communist music" he likes is what typically plays at Hot Topic. I think I remember

Yes, his musical tastes are pretty much calcified around 90s/early 2000s boy bands and bubble gum pop, with an occasional edgelord band thrown in, ironically including some neo-Nazi crap which is funny considering their views on homosexuals, trannies and anyone who isn't white, as well as the occasional Latina artist he knows from something like Shakira or J. Lo. Most recently he was on a kick about Missy Elliot, iirc, which probably fed into him thinking of himself as a sassy black woman.
I do have to wonder if the bubble gum pop and boy bands is an accurate reflection of what he used to listen to, and if so, whether by choice or because his parents and tard wranglers didn't trust him enough to listen to more adult/teenage music. Most guys I knew around that age got into metal, rock, rap, even country, anything that went along with hyper-masculine imagery. I didn't know many guys who listened to Hansen; Hell, I didn't know many girls who listened to Hansen by the time puberty hit! Of course if he gravitated to it by choice, well... that suggests some other issues imho.
Anyway, its funny that Phil denounces classical music as "capitalist" considering that the Russians have been very proud of their classical composers, and the Soviet Union had all sorts of state orchestras to promote a sense of nationalism. Meanwhile, the sort of mass produced pop he listens to... well its mostly ephemeral garbage produced by big (and almost exclusively American) corporations for a quick buck. I doubt he'd know "underground" if it rose up and bit him on the arse!
Also I think Phil conflates anarchy with communism.
Its sort of like with any other buzzwords Phil comes across. Tranny, gay, queer and intersex all mean the same thing! All brown people are the same, and Mexico is just like Puerto Rico! He knows the words are supposed to shock and offend people, so he uses them interchangeably. Hell, I wouldn't be shocked to find out he thinks Nazism and Communism are identical.
