Pokemon Go is losing money , but this is because players are fed up with the game. The recent tranny update just added more shit to the smelly pile of shit that's infesting Go. Surprisingly enough, even the card game is losing money because Scarlet and Violet were awful, and Gen 9 isn't well-received. (I know GameRant is iffy, but this article had the balls to say Gen 9 and SV were very divisive). The Pokemon Company is finally getting some pushback, but it's slowly happening. Hopefully we'll see more pushback now that TPC wants DEI and ESG money from SBI-like firms and Blackrock. Too bad Yellowflash and Grifters and Goyims won't cover this because Jeremy loves his Shittendo.

Ranton was right. Don't trust the opinions of people who rely on the company who's work they're criticising to survive.
If they're going to ignore bad press to keep getting review copies then they're also willing to rate games higher than they ought to be rated as well.
This goes doubly for all the Youtubers and Capcom shills defending Dogshit Dogma 2 for having microtransactions and whatnot. I don't know how the majority of people still trust their opinion on anything.

I hate the cycle of niche websites. Cover niche topic, get lots of views, broaden scope, more views, throw niche fanbase under the bus, surprised Pikachu face when the normies move onto the next fad.
I forget who it was who said it, but these sites didn't make their name on access journalism. They were given access because they were honest and built a following. Their loyalty should be to the fans, not PR firms giving access.

Can someone who actually reads video game review sites please explain this to me. Because I genuinely do not understand why you read them. Is it because I only like buy games off of steam or pirate them? Why do you read reviewers instead of user reviews, and even if you don't like user reviews, why not just watch some random fuck on youtube review it?

It's exactly like legacy media when games didn't have handy user review sites like Steam. Back then, magazines like GameInformer were how you'd hear about new games coming out and whether they were highly rated. If you started very early in gaming, walkthrough guides were also gatekept hard by magazine companies like Prima games. Game FAQs is an evolutionary middleman between official guides and user created guides.
Now, they're all out of date because consumer reviews, by aggregate, are better at everything games journalists could legitimately do. Not that games journalists today do their actual jobs anyway, but if they did, they'd still be inferior to user created content.

i dont read them but i know that they get review copies before games release to the public, so their reviews are available before user reviews or youtube videos can be made.
