Hardly surpised he has never done real work. Did he end up bullshitting his remaining community service hours? Given the way he embezzled money from the communist party, this sounds like the beginning of Lucas's grifting career.

It's not uncommon for people to cheat that system by simply getting their parents or friends to sign-off on their community service hours for them. This is particularly tempting if you or a friend owns a family business. Many highschool 'graduates' simply never get their hours and so don't have their diploma - which really only matters if you intend on attending college.

Luke and I parted ways before either of us completed highschool so there's no way for me to know for sure but our school system is very lenient to special cases. Luke was on an IEP (Individual Education Plan). This is basically a plan or strategy put together by the school for spazzes, retards and wierdos. It usually includes counseling, special spaces for testing, bespoke lesson planning etc etc. Some people on IEPs can get requirements like community service hours dropped entirely. This is entirely speculation but it's possible he simply never had to do them because of his emotional issues.
