Botching the Kickstarter drop while polarizing the audience is a very successful move by a company who depends on them. So successful in fact that I'm sure it'll result in more people getting the Kickstarters with Bishop Steiner gleefully reading the numbers owning the chuds. It's not like they're known in the past for some fucky things involving money, poor quality in the original minis, and even more recently them talking about acting like GW in protecting their IP (which they're licensed to share in between Microsoft/PGI/Topps). You know I think things will be fine for Battletech and those actions won't result in them getting bankrupt.

I know it's kind of late but BTech goin' woke-side is like... so goddamn weird to me.

I know it's the modern trend, but boy howdy. Growing up playing the tabletop I never saw any other game with a fanbase quite as politically aligned to the right. They were all what we would today call blue sci-fi nerds, unsurprisingly.

I have some ideas:
  • Never talk about irl politics
  • Never mention the lgbtaxyz menace
  • Never talk about lgbtaxyz related things
  • If trannies talk to you over the internet, always ignore them
  • Mention that you love hogwarts legacy (even if you don't)
  • Pretend that you know a woman named Joanne and say positive things about her
  • Stay away from topics that involves gender bending, genderlessness, third sexes, androgyny etc.
  • All your characters need to be either male of female
  • Absolutely no Discord server(s)

I wholeheartedly support catalyst in their efforts to destroy any fan good will no matter how small. Go get em tiger, own those chuds! Literally nothing could go wrong.

I remember all these things taught to me about how to behave like an adult and keep a real job. I hope those fucking freaks read this and know I won't be buying more shit now, trannies are a plauge, the whole LGBT is while I don't hate homos the movements are cancer they ruin something and move to the next spreading like they pass STDS on. Faggots die. In 3 months we will have that dickless loser raging numbers are down because.. Abortion laws or some shit while LGBT bully squad spends their money on the next dumb hobby thats "in".

Done ranting, so... why do Wobbie Mechs suck ? Legit on TT they just don't pull their BV.

I'm glad I stuck to a small pledge. I'm only being hit for $34. I know that CGL kvetches about STLs but I am going all in on them at this point.

Why are we still here, just to suffer?
The only saving grace is that battletech was functionally a shambling corpse for so long that you can just ignore everything catalyst does and play the game, make your own mini's and scenarios. As the community picked up the slack during the heroclix era and went its own way.

I'll never forgive them for firing Stackpole. Honestly losing the writers for BT was the worst for me. We'll never get out of the il-clan era. And it'll be full of gay political messaging. What have ye. The books were a big part of my childhood. I haven't really read any since. I don't even know what to say. I hope they go bankrupt, and the franchise ends up in some grognards hands for pennies.

Wait, they fired Stackpole too? I knew about Pardoe, but man, those two were the only decent BT writers. And the new ones make that Pride anthology I pointed out look decent.

Edit: Even worse, it seems that CGL KNEW the prices were going to be high for shipping and either didn't think that the shipping costs would cause problems with the backers, or were lied to by the shipper!

We get Ilkhan's eyes only this year. this will give us an insight into which will actually happen lore wise. As I check the oficial board from time to time I can tell you that all seem to agree that HOTW was a shit novel which painted a villainous Alaric into a heroic protagonist which isn't simply the case. Good thing I never read THAT book but in Redemption Rites the last Dragoon Colonel shits all over his former CO "You all ran out screaming like bad actors in an Immortal Warrior holovid. where were your tactics???" Yesa where were the tactics of the elite Wolf's Dragoons? Or the fact that NONE thought of nuking Malvina the Mad themselves once she started warcriming through the IS. Hec k the Republic had a huge stash of nukes but no one thought about using them. And then the author states he wanted to paint a "Downfall" (after the movie Downfall) scenario for the Republic which made no sense considering what we got. I heard there was an alternative storyline that the Republic was originally poised to rise from it's slumber with Stone at it's head but Stone would turn into a villain at this point. Sounds way more interesting imho.

How did they fuck this up so badly? Holy shit. I'm glad I didn't get wacked like this but I'm now mad for those who did and I def will not be paying again until this shit gets sorted. I bet CGL is on major damage control and hunting around for any gripes instead of fixing this, so I def hope they see we the long time players and fans are going to vote with our wallets. Fuck this is a disaster.

Also, what's the silliest Griffin ? Something to wash the taste of CGL out of my mouth.. back to mech talk!
