Android Raptor wants you to know how much she hates conservative Christians for the billionth time

Arguing that [Group #1] did something bad, "but" they are off the hook because [Group #2] also did something bad is a tu quoque logical fallacy.

So it doesn't matter what "a lot of people on the right" did or didn't do. Android Raptor is still has to deal with the inevitable fact that her arguments are ignorant, wrong and presented with all the eloquence of a toddler on meth.
You're free to call her a retard and I never said you shouldn't. I simply think she deserves the right to maintain the positions that she's always had. You can say it's purely about logic, but it's disingenuous to pretend like the aggravation she causes isn't partially a consequence of popular opinion shifting under her feet. I would imagine everybody here has some experience with that sort of thing happening to them.

I think we all believe in the right to free speech, otherwise we wouldn't even be unironically visiting a forum that's inherently hated and feared by the rest of the internet for its willingness to utter the dreaded n-word.

But I'm just not willing to pretend that being consistently retarded is a virtue, merely because it's consistent.

It would be different if she were able to say something like, "according to the website Bishop Accountability, [X] number of children have been raped by [Z] number of priests, which when combined with the high number of estimated homosexual men among the clergy, shows that the Roman Catholic Church needs to take action to purge itself of pedophiles before they can be taken seriously as a force for moral good in the world."

But instead, she says stuff like, "lol bill gothard is a sex pest, so it's totally okay that I wank it to gay space pirates! fuck da fundies!"

Conservatism and the internet are fairly non-compatible. Anyone who claims to be a true blooded tradition-loving conservative while posting on internet forums all day and watching fucking anime and shit is larping and basically only has beliefs for aesthetic purposes.
Elaborate on how someone watching anime disqualifies them from conservatism. Not seeing how watching Samurai Champloo suddenly means you're faking about being against open borders, infanticide, etc.

Wait a minute. Are you telling me that anime isn't all 9001 year old loli waifus and salary men being reborn into another world?

China could use her. Be the roach husbando you always wanted to be!

As opposed to defending sex pest founder of a sex pest cult Bill Gothard.

Of all the fundies you could try to white knight, Bill Gothard is certainly an interesting choice.

Except that nobody is white knighting for the guy.

You are the one who brought him up.

And then you were shocked that anyone other than you even knew who he was!

None of which has provided any justification for your childish opinions on religion.

So you admit that Christianity is not a problem, then?

You just have a problem with certain specific people?
Pretty much, yeah. Christianity by itself isn't any more of a problem than Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, etc, by themselves. The problem, just like those other religions, is with extremists. Where I live Christian extremists are the most common brand of religious crazy and they have way too much power.

Plus lots of people here think fundies is gub bois who dindu nuffin, so I think it's good to break up that echo chamber (especially when we have threads on fundie horrorcows like the Rodrigues family)

Our Glorious Exalted Most Revered and Infallible Chief Lesbian believes that the agreed moral rules of the past several dozen millennia are due to "religious extremism".

Things like "man farm and hunt, woman cook and change diaper" are direct consequences of the Pope and nobody else.

Contrary to what she believes, most modern science was developed by religious institutions. The Jesuit Order (Catholic Church) was an early group that pioneered scientific thought. Medieval mathematicians were often priests, as they had excess paper and pens lying around.

Missionaries brought both Christianity and ended ritual human sacrifice in modern Latin and South America. Christianity also brought civilization there until socialists and niggers made them into narco states.

Okay.

But someone pointed out the problem with your definition of "extremism" earlier.

And when you were asked to provide examples of which extremists you are talking about, your immediate go-to is a guy whose popularity was 50 years ago.

So why is this a problem right now, for anyone other than you?

For one Christian extremists in my state legislation deciding I don't have a right to control my own reproductive organs is very much a problem for me.

Being told lies instead of factual, medically accurate info about sex and reproductive health in school is also a problem (though way less for me than someone who got pregnant or an STD because they got told condoms do nothing instead of how to use them).

I agree that a lot of millennials like her have a fixed hateboner for "The Christian Right" and act like it's still 2004, but ever since Epstein's (second) conviction, a lot of people on the right have been acting like they've always had it out for the porn industry, when in reality they really didn't.
The "porn industry" has changed, so opinions on it changed too. It used to be that you needed to be 18 to buy a Hustler, usually not advertised in the front of the newspaper/magazine kiosk. It used to be that web gfx were barely serviceable for the purpose, and online porn was mostly bad, pixelated scans from porn mags. It used to be you had to find your parents' VHS tape stash to get access to an actual movie.
Also, it used to be that these magazines were 99% heterosexual, and the models usually fit and normal looking.
It used to be hard to dig into what people own what.
It used to be hard to get access to their histories and political views.
