Update: the chronically online power user who started the whole fiasco has decided to step away from reddit after the mod who was running interference for them on the r/justunsubbed subreddit was pressured to delete all posts relating to this incident. Without support from their tranny jannie and without access to their favorite 300 subreddits they have decided that they just cant continue, my heart breaks for them.

I just love what Nabakov does with his unreliable narrator. Its the gold standard in my opinion for this literary device. The whole framing of this being a confession shades everything he says, even though he says things that seem stunningly self aware "that goddamn doctor tricked me and these pills arent strong enough to let me rape her!". From the beginning where hes explaining how his "fascination with nyphets" came to be all the way to his justification for killing the other pedo at the end, theres deception dripping from it. Then he weaves in these passages that seem like hes grasping at atonement (the tennis passage) but could also be read as him being grandiose for dramatic effect. I also love how he occasionally drops in these asides about stints in mental hospitals but never expands on how and why he ended up there. Like, wait what? Theres a lot more to Lolita than a simple morality tale and I think thats what makes it such a great book. Nabakov wrote another one called "Laughter in the Dark" that is short, nasty, and full of schadenfreude. I think he called it his worst book, but I liked it.

Are you using a VPN? I have one on my router and can’t even view Preddit logged out without a warning to turn my VPN off. I consider it a blessing.

It used to be possible to bypass the VPN restriction by going to the "old" version of the site (old.reddit.com) but it seems that is no longer the case.

A few days ago they added another pretty large amount of VPN owned subnets to their shitlist. I was troubleshooting something and got blocked on my standard one, had to switch it before the old redirect would let me view the page because only niggers use the new layout. What a pack of kikes
