@Adamska,

Do you agree then that Albert Einstein holds the key74 to the reincarnation question? Either Einstein returns and proves reincarnation or he doesn't return and that proves there is no reincarnation, right?
Why does it have to be Einstein? Won't any old person do?

Out of curiosity, why The Motion Picture?

Probably because I saw it when I was younger, my first introduction to Star Trek was the movies, actually. And I think I had seen the next three before the first one, so it seemed rather archaic. Now that I think of it though, it does seem more like a TOS series episode.
I feel the need to go back and watch the first 10 movies.

Why would Einstein have the secret? And Einstein hasn't returned... So, bad news, Dick.

Why don't you ask someone who is alive? Like say Neil DeGrass Tyson or Stephen Hawking?

TMP is a pretty ballsy movie given what was coming out around that time. It would have killed as a Phase 2 story, for which it was intended. I think it gets better with age, and is a pretty solid, if not slow Trek flick.

That said, the uniforms(other than Kirk's two tone Admiral threads) sucked the dong.

They won't give Brad the time of day, that's why.

He ran into both those people, handed them a piece of paper, and they replied with "Wow, this is really interesting" and nothing came of it.

That's my call. Let's see if I'm right.

Oh, obviously. But if he can't even get a much lesser known scientist to acknowledge his 'work' , or shit, even read it, then no one else every will, either.

I mean anyone can walk up to a stranger and hand them a pamphlet, and chances are they will say 'thanks. I'll give it a read' then throw it away when you are out of eyesight.

Considering you consider yourself Einstein and this is your attempt to be subtle about your power fantasy, I'm going to say no. Doesn't help your assertion that Einstein was not really much into religion as a whole either. Besides, I mentioned the dharmic version being the one I'm open to. Y'know, that we are stuck in the cycle of Samsara, of suffering, and that reincarnation's just a feature of that notion. This is also the version where you either reach enlightenment or merit enough karma in your life to escape this cycle and become one with the cosmos. Not the infinite cycle you seem to want to posit.

You never did answer my question though: Best ToS and NG Star Trek Film, and worst? I don't expect an answer, but it is something (like the music theory you know) that'd elevate the thread.

.. That was subtle? Why do I feel like Brad hit me in the face with a hammer, then?

@ChurchOfGodBear,

Hey, motherfucker, Einstein didn't believe in reincarnation. Do you? Can you just answer the question, motherfucker?

Donald Trump = 666 Antichrist when A=49, B=50, C=51...Z=74. Everything Trump stands for is the opposite of the Christ.

'Trump Made a Huge Announcement To All Christians in July 2015, He’s The Only One Saying This'

Donald Trump isn’t afraid to say what needs to be said. Now the billionaire, television personality and presidential aspirant has a straightforward message for Christians.

“The Christians are being treated horribly because we have nobody to represent the Christians. Believe me, if I run and I win, I will be the greatest representative of the Christians they’ve had in a long time,” Trump said in an interview over the weekend.

Trump is a false messiah for Christians and for everyone.

Many often misquote Einstein's Relativity Principle as saying, "Nothing can travel faster-than-light - it's the Universe's speed limit." Wrong. Einstein discovered that nothing with mass could accelerate to the speed-of-light.

Thought outside the brain is massless, therefore, it can travel back-in-time, thus creating a new event that then creates a series of causes-and-effects that appears in the present as a synchronism.

I've seen this TNG episode several times, but I didn't remember this line. Therefore the dialogue was fluid in my perception within my current timeline. Having now observed it, the wave is broken and the point is fixed.

@bacterium,

Fuck you.

I can, in fact, answer the question. My inquiry pertained to if it was a particular concern for you. Honestly, I'm not sure what Einstein's beliefs have to do with the matter. If I do believe in reincarnation, does that change the discussion? If I do not, again, what changes? Do you have a vested interest in my answer, and if so, why?
