What a worthless hate-filled review from a spiteful ogre of a man. 3/10 seriously Jim? What a joke of a failure of a man this retard has become.

What are the odds he didn't even play the game and just watched some streams of it in the background while thinking up new gross shit to pepper in to his next JQ to get his sub numbers to fall? What a worthless hate-filled review from a spiteful ogre of a man. 3/10 seriously Jim? That's guaranteed. DD2 is not the kind of game Jimbo likes to begin with (it actually requires mechanical skill) and the simple fact he did his usual song and dance about microtransactions - which are extremely half-assed in DD2, given they're all things you can get in game, usually pretty easily - and barely mentioned the game's atrocious performance even on high-end rigs is evidence enough he's just riding the hate-wave off twitter. What are the odds he didn't even play the game and just watched some streams of it in the background while thinking up new gross shit to pepper in to his next JQ to get his sub numbers to fall?
I see one of two possibilities: Either he dies young from accidentally OD'ing on pain meds or he lives well into his 80s out of pure spite. How long do we think Jim has left for the world? He looks like he could just keel over at any time.
His last JQ about Dragon's Dogma is doing slightly better numbers --that is to say he limped over 100k within a week-- than usual because he has once again managed to rile up a fanbase by being retarded, so that extra engagement could mean more subs are seeing his video than usual and leaving. Is it dead sub purge kicked in or he did something very bad on Saturday?

My boy is the quintessential British bvll. He's going to bring the war to Hitler's Germany. He's never, never, never going to give in to heart disease and metabolic syndrome because he has too much blood, sweat, tears, and toil to give gamers. He must fight to his dying breath the enslavement of the Trannish Empire by people who would rather be left out of his fetish play. How long do we think Jim has left for the world? Something that annoys me about Jim is that when he does things like this (especially giving the numerical score at the end) he helps poison the whole discourse around a game like this. Looking at it from the outside, DD2 does seem like a game with a lot of issues that are worthy of critique, and generally it annoys me when people are overly positive about things in a review and not seeing the areas they fall down on, but Jim can't give a reasoned and mature critique and instead its late 2000s era angry nerd style review, which thrive on controversy and pissing people off as opposed to considered discussion about a game's pros and cons, which just pisses off fans when its so overtly hostile and encourages people not to listen to each other at all, I mean already Jim's pulling out a persecution complex out of this as we speak. What a worthless hate-filled review from a spiteful ogre of a man. 3/10 seriously Jim? Breath of the Wild made people fucking retarded. So did Tears of the Kingdom. Everyone was praising the game and talking about how great it was within hours of release giving it insanely high scores and nothing but praise. I reserved my opinion for a week so I could play the game then sleep on my opinions. I believe I also gave it a 7 out of 10 after ripping on it for the shrines, puzzle design, terrible fucking bosses, and a complete failure of having any feeling of progression that wasn't just artificial number go up in my UI. Before praising almost everything else and calling it a new high water mark for everything. It didn't do poorly. I did praise some of the experiments related to climbing, the durability system, and the idea of having to choose between HP and stamina. Yet anytime I pointed out the numerous flaws I had with the game to people who asked, they would argue that they weren't enough to drag the game down from a perfect or near perfect score, or they would argue that my standards were too high, that I was trying to nitpick, or I just didn't get it. I actually had people who I had known and talked to for years decide to block me over the fact that I merely liked the game and didn't love it as the second coming of Christ. I went through similar with TotK. A lot of people thought my "low" score was because I found it too hard because of the durability system, despite the main thing I was praising was how dynamic the durability system made combat and it's only major failing was that it needed to have slightly more durability added to specific weapons so it felt less stop and pause along with a UI I didn't like for having to pull out my next weapon. Mind you a lot of these are the same people who seem to think that Ubisoft Game the Game are 7 out of 10 games, because they are mediocre, when I put mediocre at 5 out of 10.Something that annoys me about Jim is that when he does things like this (especially giving the numerical score at the end) he helps poison the whole discourse around a game like this. This is actually a lot worse than his BOTW review, which was closer to what I mean in terms of trying to give a measured criticism to something that everyone else was going bananas about at the time, in that case he gave it a 7/10. With Dragon's Dogma he's essentially just trolling.
10 seconds in and already you can chuck it with Jim just having a "skill issue" with the game.
New JQ, the name predictions were wrong but seething about DD2 was right.
EDIT: I watched it and you could just read his tweet about DD2 backtracking to get the same experience. He is mad over people calling him out for saying something so dumb and it really just comes down to "I don't like X mechanic therefore the game is irredeemable" as if everyone doesn't have perfectly good games they dislike because certain mechanics turn them off.
Seeing a lot of this with FF7: Rebirth at the moment. I'm genuinely enjoying it despite it having some very stark gameplay flaws that hold it back, however people to continue to handwave these flaws in order to allow the circlejerk to proceed uncontestedBreath of the Wild made people fucking retarded. It's basically professional review-bombing; the sort of thing he would rant about when Gamers™ do it to alphabet-approved titles but, as usual, when Jim does it it's okay. This is actually a lot worse than his BOTW review, which was closer to what I mean in terms of trying to give a measured criticism to something that everyone else was going bananas about at the time, in that case he gave it a 7/10. So... long story short, he doubled down on the shit that got him ratioed to hell and back on twitter? The fact Jim gave Suicide Squad 6.5/10 but Dragon's Dogma 2 3/10 proves without a shadow of a doubt that he's deliberately trying to stir up controversy.
Suicide Squad is everything Jim should hate. It clearly wasn't finished on release, they were charging $100+ to play it a few days early, but nobody could because the servers were broken, there was a bug on launch that automatically completed the game for you (a mercy, some would say) the game's story has no actual ending because it's being teased in future seasons which are almost certainly never going to happen, and it's now been revealed that Rock Steady lied when they said Joker would be available to all players. While technically true, the grind to unlock him through gameplay is both excruciatingly inflated due to only certain missions giving the progress necessary to unlock him but also because, either by bug or design, those specific missions are not permanently available to farm.
That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure there's much more I've forgotten, but what's the main difference between Suicide Squad and Dragon's Dogma 2? Gamers™ hate one and enjoy the other, which is exactly what happened with Breath of the Wild and Sonic Frontiers. He's such a transparently dishonest sack of shit.
I never read the review but its funny because server issues was a common talking point in his Helldivers 2 review (he also gave it a low score) and in that case its way more understandable why a AA game had server issues when it blew up in popularity compared to a AAA game that had no players.but nobody could because the servers were broken, there was a bug on launch that automatically completed the game for you (a mercy, some would say)
