Yeah. She's clearly not living her wildest fantasies through her character.

She wanted a sweet boy to sweep her off her feet, to see her as a woman, like that comic with the redhead, "you are beautiful"...

Like, how bitter is she? I think she has unresolved issues. Some issues can't find closure, though... I think acceptance she has a condition and proper help is the right way.

We are bound to get out of the "denial" stage at some point.

I noticed while archiving strips that apparently she had a boyfriend from the strip's beginning up til some point after valentine's day '15. Strips were uploaded with stuff like "My boyfriend does my editing", "My boyfriend translates" so she hasn't been a loveshy the entire time.

I'm curious who the guy was, as he was only ever mentioned as "the boyfriend". Unless he wasn't real. She did say Ciel was a self-insert. And Ciel was his own secret best friend. Maybe he was imaginary?

Kinda makes you wonder.

S.L: These are essential concepts to allow trans people to re appropriate their integry, that historically coercitive medicalization has mistreated. Understanding "transgenderness" in terms of wrongful assignation of gender at birth can allow to "depathologize" the state of being transgender, that a simple medical vision of our existence has been preventing for a long time. We've long seen the desire of transitioning from a gender to the other as a symptom of a condition called "transsexuality". Which is toxic in many ways, because it forces trans people to fit in a diagnostic that is necessary to receive appropriate care and legitimacy on a medical, social, and legal grounds.

More like it's toxic because the doctors won't let you become a pretty pretty princess, am I right, Sophie?

Some interesting info:

PDFs are available, just not for preorder. I'm tempted to actually order a paper copy one day just so I can say I have one. Like that chick tract I found at the gas station.

The greatest romance she ever wrote...about two preteens.

What baffles me the most is not that she stole my idea of Ciel and Magnus dating BUT the fact that Magnus is a cis gay man. Ciel doesn't identify as male nor female in the context of the comic proper. Magnus IS EXCLUSIVELY ATTRACTED TO MEN and since Ciel is apparently neither, why would Magnus date Ciel?

Either Labelle really, really sucks at continuity OR Magnus has been brainwashed into thinking and believing like the others.

Because he has a penis.

Oh wait, that would mean genitals define gender...
