If you really wanted to reduce the problem, you'd have staggered-start for schools, which means the times people are dropping kids off is elongated, but the density is reduced.
High schools and elementary schools have slightly different times but there's only so much you can do, you can't expect kids to go home at 7 pm, or start at 4 am.

When you have tons of people going to a same place at the same time there just is going to be high traffic one way or another. I know to avoid schools when kids get out because driving there is scary regardless of if there are parents with their cars. Quite frankly I prefer cars because they are easier to see and predict than something like a boy suddenly diving in front of me to pick up candy on a road (actually happened last month but nobody got hurt beyond me calling the kid out on being a moron in front of his friends).

Made me think of something—with the potential for high traffic and their love of government control, why aren't they advocating for some sort of boarding school system? Why have buses when you can just live there instead? Besides, they run with the same sort of crowd who idolize Harry Potter...

True, but even a more "you can drop kids off anytime after 6:30" instead of "you have to pay for beforecare if you drop them off before 7:50" could help. NEWSFLASH! ALERT! The ghost of Norm has just informed me that this is not a real problem that anyone cares about.

Because 90% of these idiots are Americans and don't know what a boarding school is, or think it's a government-mandated fag generation machine ... wait a minute, you're right? Why the fuck not?

Holy fuck how'd I miss this?

Holy fuck you guys are retards that need to suck start a shot gun if you are shaking this hard about ONE thread mocking you, LMAO.
It took the bugmen long enough to find this thread. Did someone shine a light in their little hovel causing them to scatter and find us?

:story:

Hey redditards, if you're so big and mighty as you claim with a movement that has the momentum of a locomotive, feel free to join us and have an actually free discussion without shitty mods removing anything that goes against your dogmatic beliefs. Yes, this is a game of chicken and you are scared chickens!
I'd love a discussion. Especially where their tranny jannies can't shut down the convo. They're cowards, so they won't.

The "bike" in question is a Nanuk Megaliner from CargoCycle. Empty weight of 250kg , max payload of 500kg, top speed of 25km/h, or 550 lbs, 1100 lbs, and 15mph in Freedom Units. Fully loaded that's 750kg or about 1650 lbs the rider has to move in addition to his own weight. Beyond that, there's not much in the way of specs listed on the website that I can find, but they do have some pictures one can analyze. Links, along with local and remote archives are in the spoiler.

I did find some more info in a rather propaganda-filled (and google translated) article.

This abomination is 7 meters or 21 feet long (nothing on width) and costs a cool 27000 euros or around 29000 bucks.

There's also a picture of the man who invented it, and he looks like an insufferabe ass.

I would guess that it's part of those groupthink mechanics that will only be "accepted" if a big-name YouTuber like Jason or OTU or CityDork or whatever talks about it, otherwise they can't think for themselves.

But remember, boarding schools are almost entirely private and you have that guy from Dallas seething over private schools and how they're anti-poor and the inclination of private schools tending to have a religious background. It doesn't matter if students have a "walkable" campus where there's few parking lots, if it's explicitly Christian it may as well as be as a million Katy Freeways.

We had boarding schools in Canada for the Chugs.

They now call it Genocide.

So many things going on here. Hyperoptimism for modernity. Purely utilitarian and unadorned architecture. Building too big too fast so it doesn't work because it's empty. Separating cars and people so much that it feels like a theme park rather than a town.

Above all, efficiency from a mathematical standpoint doesn't always work for people. We need to come to terms with the fact that we are stuck in our brains, and our brains are not objective - meaning "inefficient" things are just right and comfy for us, and the lack of these inefficiencies gives us the feeling of a void.

Remember the "trucks are bad" stuff comes from the idea of lining up multiple kids in front of trucks, often lying down.

This ignores trains and buses of course which have the same disadvantages.
I'd actually say trains are worse. If someone in a pickup saw a bunch of retarded kids lying down on the road, they would probably be able to stop quickly enough to avoid running them over, assuming they weren't pulling a trailer. On the other hand, if a train engineer saw something sitting on the tracks, it would already be too late to stop before collision; best case scenario is that the train stops a mile away and cleans up the damage. It's also a helluva lot messier, simply because the force of a train is so much more than a truck.

Yeah, they burned a lot of churches and ended up killing a really neat part of a museum over "sensitivity" issues and the whole "residential school dead bodies" turned out to be almost completely fabricated.

Of course it doesn't. I always use the slave ship analogy. Great from an efficiency standpoint, not so great if you're trying to avoid human rights violations.

The editing and presentation is great.

The thesis is not.

"This area sucks because grid system, cheap buildings, and no old stuff" could just be applied to the entirety of America.

Nevermind the part where he glosses over the several old towns near to MK if you want that. Nevermind the part where he points out the grid system genuinely makes getting around by car much easier. Nevermind that it was built in a post-WW2 Britian in desperate need of real places to live.

there's plenty of videos proving the train is the natural predator of the pajeet
