I wish Ross good luck in the autistic crusade. I'm not optimistic but it's good to try anyways for the slight chance no one important notices until it goes into effect within the EU bureaucracy.
I can see why he didn't lead with the status of consumer protection with regards to software ownership in the US, or rather, its nonexistence. It's good to know that legally, we own nothing and we're happy (cue WEF), and that's how it's been for 25 years now! Thanks, ProCD, Inc. v. Zeidenberg! Shame it took this long for someone to finally find the relevant, shitty case law that's set precedent all this time.

It does seem that the only way anything gets done in this regard is if the EU, Australia, or some other country with better consumer protection forces a change in the gaming industry. Lord knows Congress isn't about to enact a law telling software companies to knock it off with EULAs that say "we can do whatever we want, go fuck yourself" when Big Tech as a whole throws a lot of lobbying dollars their way and doesn't want to see that changed. I do hope Ross is successful, especially since we all know it wouldn't actually be that hard to ensure there's an end-of-life plan for every game, and the only reason publishers generally don't is because they don't have to because they're allowed to fuck over the end user.

it's been seven years since ross started freeman's mind 2
freeman's mind 1 took him eight years to complete
I used to think it's because he ran out of good material (the episodes set during the canals were mostly kinda shit save for the Grenadier Gordon gag) but his latest two were bangers on par with classic FM episodes so it's not that.

Think getting married to Magda and moving to Poland fucked over his creative streak a bit.

I think it's also Game Dungeon taking up more of his time. That is now his most viewed show, and he's been making that for the entire time season 2 of FM has been going, whereas for most of season 1 he was able to focus purely on that show.

Besides Game Dungeon, it looks like a combination of perfectionism (sadly one of the common pitfalls of content makers) and HL2 engine not playing nice with the graphics and recordings.

Well he was making Civil Protection for a good stretch of the original Freeman's Mind and Game Dungeon actually began while FM's first season was halfway through IIRC. I think most of it boils down to editing issues, he used to have one guy doing it during the original FM run, Otto Whatshisface, now he keeps tapping random dipshits from his audience who inevitably fuck up or end up being too busy to keep doing it.

remember when ross made videos
i think we should kill his wife ive seen her twitter and its just resident evil porn and troon shit
She doesn't intrude into his videos, at least. Is she fat? I hope not (unless Ross is into that.)
remember when he was gonna make a movie
He seems to love making (in the case of his legal research, not even profitable) work for himself, even as his passion project gets continuously sidelined; and on the topic of unprofitability, it's bizarre to see a vaporware "movie" from a YouTuber that isn't a grift of some sort. Ross really is the man.

She’s not only a Twitter user, but, may Allah forgive me, a BlueSky user…

Now that you mention this, in his monthly video chats, Ross kept saying Magda was “sorta obsessed” with that Resident Evil character. Before that she was into Cloud Strife from FF7 or something. Wonder if Ross knows “sorta obsessed” means she’s a fujo tumblr girl who proudly states she’s autistic in her bio? Curious about this “troon shit” though because I think we previously speculated in this thread that she never really talked about transsexualism at all.

Ross seems mostly happy, even if he has to “pick up the slack” domestically as a kind of live-in caretaker of sorts (which he PL’d about in a livestream).

I do not like ross he is very much a georgia guidestones type and holds profoundly evil beliefs along those lines under the guise of 'just wanting to minimize suffering', feel free to PM him about that on his forum if you want to debate him about that yourself

Might be worth documenting/highlighting them here in case his micro forum gets shut down for whatever reason. It’s been said multiple times in this thread that Ross is obsessed with the environment (“environmental pessimism” sums him up best) and he has a very utilitarian “big picture/for the greater good” philosophy that comes off as cold and anti-individualist (“Georgia Guidestones type” like you said). However, Ross seems logical and bases his views on core assumptions. This is why he’s so fanatically green — he keeps quoting some panel of expert ecologists he watched who claimed the earth can only sustainably support 1 billion people. However, he admits that he’s “not an ecologist” and deferred to the “experts” (who are often extremely biased and irrational). If one could show him how much of a clusterfuck modern ecology/environmentalism is, he might become more skeptical.

Maybe in those PM chains on his website he shows his true colors more, but from all the livestreams and videos he made, I think he’s just too trusting of “the experts” as a core assumption which logically leads to his “profoundly evil beliefs”.

…Or at least I hope this is the case. I’m giving Ross a huge benefit of the doubt and how he handled the Yudkowsky debate gives me hope, but who the hell knows these days?

Nice vague-posting, would you mind backing that up with actual proof?

Basically cliff notes as I remember it:
- seems to have numerous misconceptions regarding how food is produced, and fertilizer in general, greatly underestimates potential for nuclear power to have a significant impact due to electrolysis produced hydrogen VS haber natural gas produced hydrogen (main bottleneck ingredient)
- he seems to think that we live in a video game and that the world is balanced as such, and there due to careless decisions in the past, we are likely out of runway for humanity to survive in general
- no amount of arguing will ever change his mind
