There is 100% more than being enslaved or lynched but that's not profitable for politicians and corporations to grift off so a lot of black history has been swept under the rug the last 15 years or so.
You can see a clear difference in how media before and after the eternal current year refers to black people's relation to slaves. If it was brought up and the story was in a modern setting they'd be treated equal to other characters and you'd get some possible mention of "descended from slaves" as a thematic tie in to some grander theme of the media. Nowadays though? It's all "white people bad, black people were slaves! They ARE STILL SLAVES! THE WHOLE AMERICA ENSLAVES SPECIFICALLY BLACK PEOPLE! REPIRATIONS! RACISM! WHITENESS! BLUH BLUH! AAAAAAUGH!!!"
Distortions of actual history are also present, like the shit where they claim Lewis Latimer either invented the lightbulb or lightbulb filament (he didn't do either but he did help improve the production in a significant way for the time) Or george Washington Carver Invented peanut butter (He didn't do that but he did a bunch of other actually true interesting shit nobody ever fucking talks about). Surprise success stories of Black people overall from actually severely racist times also get swept under the rug since the 2020 floyd shit because it's giving attention to a "dark/racist time".
Seek the truth, find it, and archive that shit if you can. Do not let certain parties turn you into a mere cog for the eternal struggle session machine.

There's a market overhang because even though not every type of some specific item came through that port, it still reduces the overall supply, and increases the cost to import from sources that used to use it and are now having to take a non-optimal route to their destinations.
Look up Mansa Musa or the Nubians. There were actually times and places in African history that didn't just involve them getting ass fucked by the entire world.

I have a coworker that reflexively goes "huh?" in response to almost any statement said to him. Doesn't matter if you didn't get his attention before or you're in the middle of damn conversation with them, he'll say "huuhh?" to fucking anything you say. It's not even stuff he doesn't hear cause sometimes he'll immediately respond to what you said but after saying "huh?"
