Does anyone else rmemebr when every internet journalist was putting a large text disclaimer at the bottom of every article that mentioned Trump during his first campaign?
They'd publish an article about some mundane little factoid regarding Trump being racist, or bigoted and there would be a full paragraph on the bottom of the page after the article cautioning people about Trump like the Surgeons General Warning about lung cancer on a pack of cigarettes.

The only thing that's really changed is the younger generation isn't tricked into believing that a source is non-biased. "Propaganda" is obvious to them, but they don't really care as long as it reinforces their side. It's honestly a step in the right direction. Instead of propaganda, the word now is radicalization, which is strictly only for people who consume far-right content and nothing at all whatsoever to do with left-wing (source: some gay jew).
I could be wrong about that but it seems right. Like obviously the kids aren't watching CNN or Fox anymore but they're also not debating about which news source is the most "fair and balanced" - because none of them are.

they dont watch it because of its quality, they watch it out of habit.
i am not american but i have immediate family in that same age bracket and it's the same exact shit here. that generation has grown up with the TV as their main source of news and information about the world as well as their main source of entertainment, they have been watching TV on a daily basis for many decades.
to put it into perspective: they have been watching tv every single day since before most of us here were even born. it is hard to overstate how powerful the televisions influence is on those people.

I know it sounds dramatic, but it's almost hard to think of people that are this far gone as, like, people. Their brain chemistry is so far beyond the scope of people that aren't literal actual retards or sincere schizo patients that it's hard to imagine them as anything but buglike drones. They have no critical thinking skills and will literally just make up lies about Trump and then get mad over these lies like they actually happened, it's entirely mindboggling. I've seen celebrities or other politicians get hate, but I've never in my life seen such a drastic showcase of mind-numbing hatred and delusion as people sperging over Trump. Like some people still think if he wins again that he'll send out the army to hunt down faggots and Mexicans and have them slaughtered in the streets, they actually believe this as fact.

A very close family member of mine came up to me the night of the 2016 election when Trump was announced as the winner and was talking about how they were worried their gay friends were going to be put into concentration camps. That's a real thing that happened. The shit people believe about Trump is absolutely insane. The media hysteria around him is unparalleled. No other president in modern history has been so thoroughly villainized.
