Piskor obviously wasn't simpatico with the comics gate/culture war crowd, but he and Rugg avoided saying the talking points from the other side either, and whenever they had interviews with other comics creators that held such views (lib progressive), like Howard Chaykin, they avoided the subject as much as they could and just kept talking comics.

Never heard any of the 2 saying anything either about "SJWs" or "comics gate".

Men doing this are always either perverts or too autistic to understand the inappropriateness of the situation. There is no scenario in which an older non-family-member man needs to be a mentor or support system to a teen girl. There is no shared life experience or understanding there. No man I know would say that they would see it as their place to talk to some teen girl with advice. Teachers sometimes find themselves in that position since they are mandated reporters but a good teacher will quickly get the right resources involved and not play therapist to a student.

This goes for both genders. But women who come on to teen boys don't often deny it by saying they just wanted to be a friend or mentor etc.

@Lorne Armstrong is the only guy that a teen girl can reach out to. He's good to talk to.

At first glance this reminds me of Twomad. Cancelled with unclear evidence, dies, and after his death the allegations are disproven. Jameskii still seems hell bent on destroying twomad so I can imagine some of the people involved here might go down the same route. I imagine that cancel culture suicides will become a lot more prevalent in the coming years.

I don't know anything about these allegations so I can't say whether or not I think they are true or what Ed's punishment should have been. But if you believe something improper/illegal happened there are proper ways to deal with it outside of social media faggot callouts. Cancel culture is a disease.
