I sort of disagree. All western communists are people who won at capitalism by default when they were born into wealthy families, and their frustration at having no real struggles forces them to create problems where none exist.

I don't think I have ever seen a working-class commie in the west.

I've seen people who considered themselves working class commies. However they were only people who deluded themselves into thinking that they were working class. Just because your part time job at a fast food restaurant doesn't make you enough money to buy a house while you're still mooching off of mommy doesn't mean that the government needs to be replaced.

Every single commie I've ever met, without exception, has come from a wealthy family. I mean wealthy wealthy, we're talking getting sports cars when they turn 16, mansions with swimming pools and libraries, and vacations to Boca Raton or Cancun every summer. Which makes it laughable to me that they believe that they can relate to the struggles of living paycheck to paycheck. It's also laughable because if a legitimate commie uprising happens they'd be the first to go.

Sort of getting off topic but it has to do with The dilution of the brand. You can find the odd Marxist professor or a couple of old school Marxists-Leninist in some unions, but for the most part, communism in the west and in the US in particular exists as an imagined community, not unlike pagans or gamers. People who have really nothing in common with each other beyond a general disaffection and aimlessness, latching on to the same meme-complex as an anchorpoint to their personality. US Communists are quite literally the bronies of politics, essentially functioning like a fandom of old Soviet propaganda.

They certainly existed. If you were brought up in a working class community in any old industrial area - coal mining, docks, that sort of thing, you’d encounter actual communists. Two kinds, even. The Soviet system fan - your basic proletariat who’d been on a trade union visit to St Petersburg or something, and decided it was the answer to all western problems. They’d proudly own a Lada, and enthusiastically propagandize at work and down the pub.

Then there would be your impoverished student type, into class struggle, who would pick up Marx and start attending political meetings, going to rallies about helping Cuba and the like.

I am certain that both groups would have been influenced and organized via agents out of Moscow, and wouldn’t have really existed otherwise.

You’re right that neither are really a thing in this century, firstly because the USSR officially died, but in any case it’s proven much more effective to cultivate culture war via the internet, and support for Russia via brain damaged right wing political grievances instead.

Today that just leaves isolated naive scholars and cargo-cult internet weirdos actually calling themselves communists.

Yeah I probably should have clarified I meant in Current Year. I'm sure back in the 70s and 80s communism seemed an appealing alternative to miners living under Thatcher, but nowadays it seems they're content to live off government gibs and sit down the pub, which in a roundabout way kind of is communism, I suppose.

All I'm saying is I've never seen some dude in overalls smoking a roll-up on Question Time talking about seizing the means of production, it's always some prick in a bow tie with a septum piercing, called Artemis.

Yeah, he's completely full of shit there. What harassment, did someone post "You're a faggot, Lucas" in YouTube comments? How awful, clearly everyone should have forgotten who he is because he made some shitty creepypasta video. It's clear his real issue was the low viewership numbers, and the realization that it would actually take work to make the channel grow, slowly. Obviously that put an end to the whole endeavour right there.

I really hate commies. When I was young and naive I thought it was all just socialism and incredibly lazy but otherwise harmless people complaining about their lives. I later learned about how many millions of people were killed under communist regimes, how many people starved to death, how they declared open war on anyone who was educated enough to see communism is a failed concept. Lucas is a perfect example of the 21st century communist. I wouldn't be surprised if he never actually worked a day in his life at a real job. He didn't even earn his own body, his father, who had wildly different political views paid for it. Even a shitty communist would have hidden the fact his entire identity was paid for by an "imperialist fascist" but no not Lucas. He's proud his axe wound was paid for by the western exploitation of the rest of the world.

Nothing and I mean NOTHING would make me happier than Lucas' current boyfriend kicking him out and he ends up working the "Starbucks job" exactly like all of us had to do at one point in our lives. What do streamers do when they fail? He can't go back to being a communist, he burned that bridge twice now. Porn didn't work out. He's currently making about $14,000 a year and considering he hasn't produced anything in weeks that's going to go drop soon. He only has about 55k YT subs and even the most diehard Lucas simps are finding out they can get better content from other better sources. The Mutahar video hasn't even dropped yet and the "keffals" brand is circling the drain. $14,000 a year doesn't even pay rent in most places in Canada or the U.S. It's almost fact Keffals doesn't clean, that would make him some unemployed couch-surfing slob loser. In all likeliness he's probably high right now, as I'm typing these words he's doing a line of some shitty coke cut up really hard with meth. Cocaine is very expensive and even more so in Ireland. I just cannot fucking wait till someone uploads that picture of Lucas bagging groceries or driving Uber like a regular joe.
