Ace of Spades HQ actually has a post covering Pisker's suicide and the cancel cult. So, this story is filtering out somewhat into the (relative) normie-sphere of the internet.

Of course, Ace includes a tweet from EVS apparently unaware that EVS and his gaggle of chuckleheads were more than happily joining in on the cancelling a week or so ago.

Ace is an EVS fan but I don't think he follows him enough to know how scummy/fraudy he's become. The HQ has gone to shit as well since the election when there wasn't a Qanon conspiracy theory crazy enough for them not to believe. It's just an old people yelling at clouds board now unfortunately.

Sad, but true. I was familiar with Kayfabe Comics. Regardless of what he did, which was pretty fucking grim, it's tragic. Comics Gate has killed more people than KiwiFarms has, though people outside the forum probably don't want to hear it.

That's really not the case this time. The comics industry is tiny and infected wall-to-wall with wokesters, so Piskor was 100% over and done in the field he loved and worked in for 20 years. 100%. Every limp dick publisher, editor, and anyone else with any clout were already lining up to outcast him without checking into the story.

Main stuff to remember:
- Ed Piskor was a bit of a pariah, but a solid artist with a unique vision and style.

- He could have weathered it out with the information available, his actions suggest a possible iceberg. The only way to prove it would have been by not killing himself.
- He should have anticipated a round of cancellation and have been willing to accept help from his family.
- He had options but chose to kill himself instead. He wasn't being dragged into court and had no wife to leave him and take everything plus any kids.

The fact that you took what I wrote there and interpreted it as this is, quite frankly, deranged. For nearly all of human history age gaps like that were common, even up until as recently as a few decades ago. Hell, if you add +5 years to both parties it's still common for that sort of age gap to exist in a relationship. However, you're clearly one of the people lacking the ability to use nuance in reasoning that I mentioned, so you can't actually view this as anything but the sickest, most disgusting interpretation of what it could be.

He already had race grifters salivating after him because he had the audacity to be white and create what many view as the definitive history of hip-hop. They couldn't wait for him to slip up. That's why Darryl Ayo Brathwaite immediately called Dwyer's post "the kill shot".

Just to be clear: Ed Piskor was a socially maladjusted weirdo. That does not make him a sex offender, a rapist, or a pedophile. He had some tame but awkward interactions with a "17 turning 18" (as Dwyer put it) year old that he should not have had. I don't think anyone here could honestly say it wasn't sus. But that's about it. If some other shit comes to light, I'll be happy to change my mind about Piskor's antics and shit on him like I would any kid diddler, but until then I just don't see the offense here that necessitates him not having a career any longer.
