in like the age of kiwifarms i am actually going to have to expect people to do better and be less gullible and more vigilant rather than believing any accusation is in good faith if an appeal to moralism is being used and it is couched in the right language. you cannot afford to continue being this ignorant/callous/stupid/malicious how much benefit of the doubt are you supposed to get for that while simultaneously practicing none to those you clearly treat as inherently wont to malice or simply as socially disposable

Fun fact I helped get Kiwifarms’ business entity dissolved last year.
Back in September of ‘22 they were in the news again for the usual shitty activity, and I’m a corporate lawyer, so I thought to myself, “Hm. How are these guys maintaining business relationships and liability shields necessary for their work?”
So I did a little digging and found out that they ran their operation through a company called Lolcow LLC which was registered in Wyoming. And every business entity has a registered agent, which is basically someone who answers your legal mail and does your necessary filings with the Secretary of State. So I looked theirs up.
It was a pretty standard professional registered agent company; the kind that might have hundreds of companies whose paperwork they do with fairly little interaction from the actual client. They are generally serious and respectable people who just want to do their jobs. And I called this one on the phone.
I asked their representative if they were familiar with the activities of their client. They were not. Needless to say, this was kind of upsetting news to them. They thanked me for letting them know and said they’d look into it. I didn’t hear from them again.
So fast forward to now. Your post reminds me that they exist, and I think I ought to look into whether anything came of that phone call. Turns out that their registered agent tendered their resignation two weeks after we spoke — who knows how many other folks called to let them know. Lolcow LLC was dissolved in Wyoming a few months later because they didn’t read their mail and never realized that they needed a new registered agent. When he found out in June 2023, Joshua Moon himself said that “if the LLC is dissolved it’s because my registered agent was terrorized by trannies into resigning” and therefore “my 6th Amendment rights to representation have been deprived from me by terrorism.” (This is a bizarre and hilariously wrong legal analysis.)
So yeah. If somebody is doing some hateful shit, find out who their professional contacts are and politely tip them off. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve learned that another Lolcow LLC was formed in West Virginia two months after the above quote and I have some phone calls to make.

This is interesting, 'cause Josh said that the registered agent dropped them over BS Russian sanctions. Yeah I know the internet and all but still a beard stroker

They really can't wrap their head around tolerating people who you strongly disagree with. "Hey, your pro-free-speech website now has people arguing with you! That backfired on you!" They also can't quite understand that even if some people on your website hold an opinion it doesn't mean that it's the only acceptable opinion, unlike on Reddit where dissent gets quashed dogpiled.

Unsurprisingly, Reddit made a whole sub with that premise because lefties are pathologically obsessed with getting an ebin gotcha moment.

KF used to have a reputation for being full of trannies. Maybe there was some validity to that, since Null himself complained about it (about 9 years ago)
