Diseased #Comicsgate - The Culture Wars Hit The Funny Books!

Can we agree that you'll indicate where I said men 'deserve' to have their life ruined? I'll wait.

"Avoid the appearance of evil." I'm just extrapolating your own logic. Any place in public where an unmarried/unrelated man and woman could be alone would leave a man vulnerable to accusations of misconduct. It would by no means be limited to a mentor relationship. Men and women shouldn't even be talking to each other online, by that logic. It's really tiring how you keep not addressing my points, posting two strawmanned lines, then crying about how women are the hysterical liars. I pity any women who might rely on you, when you view them with such intense contempt.
To shorten up your statement: It's a fucked up world.

The hypocrisy level by a lot of people regarding grooming is also fascinating. Drake wanted to bang millie bobby brown since she was 14, they texted each other at night and everything. He wasn't canceled, at all.
Most hip hop parties have underage kids and they all end up getting fuckd by rich dudes. Almost no one talks about it, it's like a tabu... or maybe it's like the terr... the muslims narrative? "reSpeCt thEir cuLtuRe"?
And don't get me started with Hollywood...
Movies like: "Pretty Baby" ; "Hick"; or even most recently "Poor Things", they are all about pedos. They are all groomers... but most people call it "art".
Sure, Ed sounded autistic and sad, he talks about covid like it was the vietnam war. He also might have the john cena syndrome, a 40-year-old thinking he's still 15. It is creepy af... but that being said, we can't leave those hoes off the hook. They knew what they were doing, they outsmarted him. It's a revenge business.

haven't you been dancing on this guy's grave because he called a "17 turning 18" year old "naughty"? sorry if i misread your intent. my solution to that issue is he never should've reached out to her to begin with. do you agree or disagree with that solution?

are you advocating for strange men to approach women they do not know alone? i'm saying you should have witnesses or be in public. i'm really not understanding why you think this is some insane, unrealistic idea. or what you think the better alternative would be.

Men and women shouldn't even be talking to each other online
i'm sure starting to agree with you on this one

It's really tiring
speaking of tired i'm going to bed

If you were his age and had a 17 year old daughter (which he is plenty old enough to have), would you want a friend of yours in her DMs like that?
If I had a 17 year old daughter I wouldn’t want her associating with the art scene because it’s full of sex-freaks and weirdos. I wouldn’t want her posting ass shots online either.

I’m not saying I would condone his behaviour. It was an inappropriate relationship. Maybe he was flirting with the idea of crossing the line but he didn’t. It’s hard to feel outraged by a sin somebody could have done but didn’t.

He lived hundreds of miles away and this was during lockdown. He couldn't have "tried" anything lmao
I'm pretty sure the consensus around here is that he's a retard for tapping out that early, although a few psychos seem to think he was some kind of child rapist who deserved to die.
Based on what I just read it definitely sounded like he wanted to get her to his place, regardless of how realistic it was given the circumstances. It was wrong, and it was good he was outed.

That said, he didn't deserve to die for that.

It’s hard to feel outraged by a sin somebody could have done but didn’t.
I don't know about that. In this case sure, because it isn't an egregious transgression, but if it was worse then outrage would still be justified even if nothing actually happened.

And the cultural view of what we consider grooming today is positively prudish and hush hush compared to what things were like in the 70s and 80s because that shit was on display in front of everyone. Bowie fucking a 14 year old (like Elvis did!) or top bands writing popular songs about railing 16 and 17 year olds. Everybody from Kiss to Neil Diamond was writing songs about teenage pussy. Go read any book about what Zeppelin got up to on tour.
Ted Nugent literally bought a teenage girl from her parents, paying them off to become her "legal guardian" with their approval.

Based on what I just read it definitely sounded like he wanted to get her to his place, regardless of how realistic it was given the circumstances. It was wrong, and it was good he was outed.
He definitely should not have talked to her, but it isn't just about her. Outing him 4 years after some awkward and suggestive interactions (even she later said he never propositioned her or discussed sexual activity) was just the start of a chain reaction leading to him deciding that his life was just over with no hope of redemption, which is sad. Nothing he said to any of those women was worth calling him out over, IMO.

There's a problem with the comic book people becoming obsessed with and reliving their teenaged years and tastes. You see here where that can become dangerous. Word of caution: don't be a comic book guy. Appreciate art and writing, sure. Make money off it great. But don't identify too hard with some immature media.
Movies like: "Pretty Baby" ; "Hick"; or even most recently "Poor Things
"Ghost World" Especially with the comic book connection.

I agree, I think we're on the sane page. I think the intent was mainly to stir up drama and get attention.

Well except for that whole "the Fucking FBI is hunting P Diddy for being Black Epstain" thing.

I clicked on the video not knowing it was Ed Piskor talking about the book lol Now I feel a little awkward... But I'll watch it, I might find some clues.

lmao yeah. Well, only now, after Katt opened his mouth... Still, better late than ever, I guess.
But Diddy isn't the only one.

The most predicable response to a suicide are the clout chasing parasites who will moralize about it before the body is cold
The most predicable response to a suicide are the clout chasing parasites who will moralize about it before the body is cold. I won't go into much detail but there was a sucide recently and people started posting shit like this witch is obviously just designed to establish the poster as an authority in a time of stress. Theres all kinds of "woke therapy" and shit you can find all over the web like this. (example)

Can you just post a thing and not a google drive honeypot?

It might be better to watch the movie than watch his video of the book, but maybe you can catch him referring to a young girl that reminds him of Enid to his creepy Steve Buscemi character.
