Stuff like this is why I could never follow Comicsgate shenanigans. Part of the original allure of this supposed indie revolution was the lack of backroom politics, but the political maneuvering started immediately. EVS and Doug TenNapel were at each other's throats seemingly days out the gate. Now someone killed himself because of Twitter drama and you have people excitedly running around trying to figure out how to make this work for them. It doesn't get much gayer than this.

Comics are just dead to me, though I might occasionally pick up something from the pre-2000's (back when EVS and Mark Waid were names I liked seeing).

The market has dropped out with the combination of the various cinematic universes, video games, and manga eating up the space traditional American comics used to occupy. So while cape and cowl comics can sell okay, awareness, let alone interest in mature audience oriented, non-superhero comics is thin at best.

The value of Comics had to do with the impression that you were buying the last of its kind, and that reprints were a science fiction conspiracy theory. Well, thanks to reprints, omnibus, and the oversaturation of IPs in the market, a comic has as much value as a photo ID on election day. Digital distribution on Discord DMs also doesn't help increase the value of Comics. We're back to them being disposable entertainment, and I'm glad we're here. Enjoy the book for the entertainment within their pages, not for some overhyped expectation of phony CGC shenanigans.

It'd be one thing if it was someone who never had a documented history of being a sex pest towards underage (I don't care if the AoC is different in your countries, everything happened with individuals in the US and thus they fall under US jurisdiction for AoC laws which state that 18 years old is when a person becomes a legal adult, not 17; yes I realize that it can vary in some US states but the vast majority of places consider 18 to be legal adulthood) people and/or not understanding societal boundaries/mores. Piskor was not one of those people.
