The background here is that this is a migrant camp of Venezuelan "refugees" who were shacked up in a Quality Inn in Kent, a shitty suburb south of Seattle. Whatever group is backing them ran out of money to keep them there, tried unsuccessfully to crowdfund an extension, and moved them to this park instead. Now they've supposedly acquired the funds through an anonymous donation, so they're taking down the camp and moving back into the motel. This was essentially an extortion attempt, there was no other reason for them to move 20 miles out of their way onto a public park in the middle of the city other than that.

Choe is to Seattle what Andy Ngo is to Portland. He got fired from a local news station because he live tweeted a Proud Boys rally. Antifa and black bloc despise him, he's actually got a lot of balls to go to places like this where they are likely to be grouped up.

Imagine becoming the VP and being promised that you'd be in the Oval Office in two years and change only to find out you're a distant third to the throne behind DOCTOR Jill Biden. On top of that, you're made a scapegoat for issues the administration has no intention of solving. You'd drink too.

She's not doing anything actively that'd stress her that much, which implies its what she privy to know rather than what she's done herself that's got her fucked up. Really makes you wonder what that could be though. There's no shortage of candidates, even when you narrow it down to the sort of looming destructive shit that'd drive you to drink just by being in its proximity.

What I want is for the people who shriek about islamophobic genocide in Gaza to ask themselves what happened to the 'indiginous' Palestinians' religion, language, culture, and ethnicity - and why all of those facets of their existence are now coincidentally indistinguishable from that of their Arabic neighbours.

I agree it's stupid that it's any of the West's political business - if the US and Iran stopped constantly using Israel as a proxy sandbox I honestly think a two-state solution would have been hashed out long ago. But Israel being engaged in legitimate genocide would entail overt military and/or forced conversion actions so cartoonishly megalomaniacal in geographic scale that even the most goose-stepping of Kiwis couldn't rationalize it as plausible.

Kamala is a mong but in a weird way I have to respect her. She got to where she wanted to go, saw what a dumpster fire the WH is and decided to "aww hell naw". Now she hides, avoids and chills out, knowing in a few, short, sweet months she will be free to live the life of luxury without all of the bullshit.

I guess "genocide" is too strong of a word used by the leftoids but their rampage makes Russia's war in Ukraine look humane or when US military was in Afghanistan and Iraq. I would say mass murder with high bloodthirstiness given they have shot their own hostages as well, which probably means low discipline if we are to be generous to the IDF since they are using reservists and have not fought a serious war since 1973.

When the South Africans went before that ICJ to deal a PR hit to Israel, they were using videos of Israeli politicians and IDF titkok soldiers as proof that the IDF is engaging in mass murder at minimum. And the Israelis themselves have admitted a while back that 2 civilians have been killed for every supposed "Hamas" soldier by their own metrics. Something that would have caused a massive outcry here if the US military and government ever talked like that.

Which is where we get back to Biden voters since their extensive use of the word "genocide" before this war, has watered it down so much, that maybe by Current Era standards its genocide. Before this war, many of them were accusing Russia of genocide as well.

Now the Zionist conservatives are in a bind since they love it that Biden is losing in swing states due to muslims rejecting him. Which is also where they hate it, because they believe Biden might magically cuck in their view and tell Israel to slow down and put a hold on weapons deliveries to make Bibi stop acting like a mad dog.

It's a classic way of trying to portray immigration critics or skeptics who came to the United States originally as immigrant themselves as hypocrites. The intended message is that in a way, the oppressed have become the oppressors.

It's so ancient and timeless here is a political cartoon from 1870 with a similar message:

To the right, a flag waves — its message declares the new American territory belongs to the Know Nothings, a secret yet a popular group of Americans who vehemently protested newcomers. Three of the Chinese are wearing doulis, the conical shaped hats, also known as rice or “coolie” hats. All five Chinese are men wearing their native garb and hold onto goods they hoped to bring along as they ascend the ladder.

The cartoon’s caption, “Throwing Down the Ladder by Which They Rose” is Nast’s harsh commentary on the hypocrisy of these new Americans and their willingness to oppress others who are in the same circumstances in which they found themselves 30 years earlier. The once oppressed have now become the oppressors.

Perhaps though that cartoon was more focusing on immigrants turned citizens being critical of the quality of foreigners coming to the country rather then the descendants of immigrants concerned about the quality of asylum seekers and illegal immigrants. Complaining about the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of immigrants being hypocrites in some way is just the next logical (and extreme) step I guess.

You are correct but I want to add context. This line of attack has been raised a few times at the politician level... and always resoundingly shot down. So these guys are going to see little support on this front.

There are some attacks that do more damage to you then the enemy, bringing up "Your parents/grandparents/whatever were immigrants!" as a point to support illegals is one of the more subtle ones. It would inevitably lead to someone being on the defensive but then leads them to try to ferret out a counter point. A reason why this is different.

That is a logical line that any left-wing politician will be told stridently by their analysts to never, ever make people consider.

As they are now, most people have a sort of knee-jerk reaction to illegal immigration. They see the damage but have difficulties articulating exactly how illegals connect into it directly. They cannot articulate to themselves, let alone others, exactly why its so bad beyond kinda waving a hand at the slow accumulation of damage and saying "this" which is is... less than persuasive.

What forcing them to consider how prior immigration is different to modern immigration does is they focus that knee-jerk reaction. Examples will be thought out. "We came to be farmers", "We came to make the railroads", "we came to work". And now you have the starting grasps on real arguments against illegals. They have no grand purpose, no specific niche to fill, and their work is undercutting native workers -because- they are illegal and therefore paid less.

Now you no longer have someone blundering to make a point they feel in their bones. now you have someone making actual points that can convince others.



To see an example of this kind of thing, look at the parents railing against Trans Bathrooms or Transing the Kids sort of things. As soon as they have specific examples they can point to their arguments start pulling in a -lot- more views and support. The result being that society is turning against the very idea, albeit in its slow and ponderous way.
