Story old as time. The Bible's teachings are "antiquated"? Well stop and consider there is a reason a lot of the moral instruction for Christians in the New Testament, for example. It's funny they think Trump is orchestrating some massive circus when he himself is actually fairly flaky on a lot of different aspects of right wing ideology, let's use religious conservatism as an example here. Does Trump display good fruit? Him shilling Bibles recently to cater to Evangelical voters does not mean a thing.

Anybody over 35 should have vivid memories of how well Donald Trump was loved in the '90s. I grew up in a rural backwater with a TV that only got 14 channels, and I knew Trump was the king of New York. Every time someone on TV got the chance to kiss his ass, they jumped at the opportunity. The only person that hated him before the day he walked down the escalator was Rosie O'Donnell, and rightfully so. She's a disgusting pig.

That's what I tell people made me so concerned about the Trump thing. This guy had a huge media presence and a well established public personality and the media absolutely convinced huge numbers of people this guy they knew was some kind of mega-hitler. It's like people have been trained to have the memory of goldfish.

If they can do that to him, imagine what they can do to anyone.

"If we could just get a candidate that had a similar message but was more presidential..." is the biggest right wing cope in history. They either don't remember the social evolution of the Bush family or are being willfully forgetful.
