Slugger being reduced in it's stagger effect actually made it better since you no longer have to readjust your aim on destroyer heads every time you hit them. Wouldn't be surprised if the damage nerf was because of this.

Is it just me or are the escort key personnel missions, specifically the 15 minute ones, significantly harder than any other mission types when fighting bots? At one point a few weeks ago I was doing a medium difficulty mission and had at least 5 tanks on the map and my experience hasn’t gotten better with time.

I just got a crash in a mission where we had gathered 36 rare samples and somehow as a bunch of random players, managed to mesh and operate as one hell of a smooth team.
Fucking sucks.

Highlight though was me running away from a clowntrain of bugs, zapping them here and there, when out of nowhere i see that train get torn the fuck up my a dude in a mech, with the comment 'don't worry fam, i gotcha'.
 
I've seen some people say that deleting your shader cache file in AppData\Roaming\Arrowhead\Helldivers2\shader_cache will fix the crashing issue with the extractions.

Might be total placebo bullshit, but also probably no harm in trying it out.
 
Is Hell Divers 2 the first game to get live service really right? I actually like that the devs play with the meta narrative that was created and can actually respond quickly instead of just following a pre-planned schedule with nothing else.

Right now they have a bunch of content ready to drop feed week after week. That cloak was premade and ready to go for "something" and new enemies, strategems, and guns are all ready to go. They even have an entire faction that will come later this year. The real test will be if they can avoid content drought and not have a bunch of stuff they worked on pre release.

Sometime these almost feel impossible on the higher difficulties when you have 10 flamer hulks and 3 tanks dropping right on top of you constantly, if you have low levels on your team that don't have the orbital laser or the rail gun strike.

Also does anyone else ever use the auto-gun turret, I feel like it sucks vs the robots, I throw it down and its vaporized two seconds later, or it feels like it does not even attempt to shoot anything.

I’ll try to bring one or both of those next time. You’d think the rocket pods and 500kg would be the way to go considering you can use them in rapid succession if you need to, but that doesn’t seem to work at all. What support weapon seems to work best for this? It feels almost suicidal to go into this mission without the shield backpack.

I haven't found a support weapon yet that feels right for it, auto cannon is my go-to but without shield I die too fast and just end up losing my gun for 480 seconds.
