It must also be remembered that China has a massive population, which means there are more people who are gonna do vile shit. I used to think that zoosadism was something more prevalent in less-developed countries, until I found out that the largest demographic consuming baby monkey torture videos are American boomer white women. I think it’s one reason monkey zoosadism is more overlooked than other forms of animal abuse. It makes us uncomfortable to think that we have these kinds of monsters lurking among us in our society. It’s much easier to project such barbarity onto foreign countries and cultures.

And there's also his famous "沒有買賣就沒有殺害" which means no trades, no killing, or "when the buying stops, the killing can too". I'm not sure if he was the first to come up with this but the quote was widely attributed to him, and popularised by him in the numerous Chinese language advertisement campaigns.
If China didn't ban this, I bet all the sharks would have been dead by now. Each shark only produces one fucking fin, and those hunters were killing sharks as young as several months old for a piece of rubbery tasteless goop.

The best method of activism in China when it comes to animal welfare is to get some bigger, well respected celebrities on board to spread the message and awareness, then something might happen. If popular celebrities in China like Yao Ming, Jackie Chan and even Gordon Ramsay didn't educate people on shark fins, there will be no ban. I'm not sure how to achieve this, perhaps Xeet at Chinese celebrities, however, their accounts are almost certainly managed by another person/group.
By the way, sharkfins are literally tasteless, they can be substituted with vegetables very easily. I have no idea why that ever became a "delicacy". I've never tried them, that's according to the Ramsay documentary.
Who's paying for these videos? I'd like to think it's a localised Chinese thing for now, I wonder if they have any western customers.
The Feline Guardians Without Borders group shared on their Facebook page that
Xu Ruixiang, an admin of the Telegram torture group, has been denied re-entry to Nanjing University, thanks to his zoosadism being brought to the attention of University officials.
Anime is a sin, but missing this one faggot's entire family was downright a war crime.
Glad the university had some sense in them. I've lived in these university towns before, cats are practically town pets. People would take turns to feed them.
Wait a second, are they sure they got the right guy?
His name according to the infographic is
徐睿洋
According to the PDF included, the guy who was denied re-entry was named
徐睿祥
徐睿洋
徐睿祥
That's not the same name.
Alright, it looks like someone failed their Chinese language classes and needs a spanking for skipping class. That was a mistake.
When the font is small, 洋 (yang) and 祥 (xiang) does look similar.

I'm thinking about sending these activists an email on the importance of proper archives. Chinanet is full of fake screenshots and other bullshit. These freaks should be nailed to a cross, literally.
Also, even though his total marks were pretty high, his re-entry marks and interview marks were very low compared to peers with lower total marks.

You can see he had the lowest mark, the other three who were denied admission had lower marks than 150. He might have been too busy torturing animals to care about this.
God, this is an autistic rabbit hole.

His grades were decent.
Bingo.
4) Requirements of re-examination:
a. Individually assessed
b. contents: ideology, politics and English language listening and oral skills, and overall knowledge regarding the field
d. Interview score = English oral and listening + overall knowledge marks
e. Passing grade: 150. Interview fail grade means re-entry denied. Ideology and politics fail grade means the same.
Basically he failed the interview. It likely didn't have much to do with their activism, unfortunately.
Here's the ideology alignment and politics portion. It sounds nuts but it's pretty normal in China.
考生个人陈述一页(A4 纸张),包括:个人政治态度、思想表现、道德品质、遵纪守法、诚实守信等五个方面内容。
One-page self-introduction, which includes personal political beliefs, ideology, morality, following the law, and being honest.

Emphasis was placed on whether the student faced any detentions, and if they joined any cults. If they can get a hold of the contents of this form, then we might know if activism had anything to do with his re-entry denial.
Regardless, his grades in the interview regarding English language skills and knowledge of the field was below the passing grade of 150. Sorry to say but I don't think it had anything to do with his recreational cat torturing.
His grades for politics was pretty high, at 68, higher than a lot of the other students.
