Nobody involved in the FOIA documents was overly concerned with what happened to the body after it became ash, but it sounds like the last stated plan was for a funeral home to take care of the entire cremation and scattering in Tokyo Bay.
It does sound plausible that they used a dirt-cheap "cookie jar" to hold the ashes if it was just a temporary thing. But it doesn't make sense why anyone else besides the husband would have had the (presumably empty) jar after that.

It was never confirmed that the scattering took place though, since it wasn't anyone in the government's job to care.

He made that explicitly clear in the message he sent to Null. That was, as far as I remember, the third time (that we know of) he threatened suicide because someone rightfully called him out. His expectations were completely unreasonable for someone who is, for all intents and purposes, a public personality.

Byuu has no one to blame but himself for the fact he decided to become a public personality even though he was clearly not capable of handling the pressure that comes along with it.
