If I ran Twin Galaxies, I'd put him back on the official leaderboard.

But I wouldn't just put his score back. I'd create a new section just for him and when you click on it, you get a picture of his name and score spelled out with MAME girders.

From what I've seen, TG did exactly what they said they'd do: put Mitchell's score "as part of the official historical database". Not the actual leaderboards, which is what Billy assumed they'd do.

I support that. That's exactly what they should do. An entire new section just named "Billie Mitchell", specifically one you need to make an extra click on to get to. No score shown, no mention how it is related to the rest of the leaderboard. They could claim they "acted in good faith" to the judge too. Billie would never stop seething.

That's pretty much what they did, but your idea is funnier. "Official historical database" instead of the actual board, where he wouldn't even be on top. Shit, I don't think his score would even be top 30 at this point.

One thing I do like about the whole "Red joystick" scandal is that I now get a ton of arcade restoration videos on youtube, and it's fun to watch people go absolutely insane restoring the hardware.

I have developed a deep hatred of the yard sellers who leave the machines out to rot, but still try to negotiate the price up. In a Nintendo red tent video, the restorer gets fucked TWICE by meth lords who just have a bunch of shit in their yard. One raised the price three times in ten minutes, and the second pretended he was doing a "blind auction" to sell the machine, when in reality he was trying to get more money by being a fuckhead. (The blind auction was for a non working nintendo golf arcade machine)

I'm always so conflicted on this stuff. Karl is an absolute cuck, but Billy might be a bigger cuck and that hairline is unacceptable.

That's fucking funny, I watched this exact video last night and thought the exact same thing about it. I wish the guy had called the bluff of the first seller right away, it was obvious bullshit jacking up the price as far as he could.

I'm curious what the settlement agreement actually states. To me, it sounds like TG's lawyers may have pulled a fast one on them and they thought a "historical leaderboard" was the actual leaderboard.
