Anime/Manga - Discuss Japanese cartoons and comics here; NO CULTURE WAR DOOMPOSTING!

Vigilates dived in quality in 2019, when it became sidetracked by extended flashbacks that contributed nothing to the story, and was inserting AFO into more and more of the proceedings because the cancer this franchise contracted was clearly malignant and inoperable. The last year or two of publication was agonizing boring, just the same fight going on and on and on as Six kept pulling powers out of his ass and Koichi was given infinite stamina.

Is there ever going to be a Naruto that doesn't screw up? I'm asking seriously, where the fuck is my Good Naruto that never ever blows it?
Jujutsu Kaisen?

thought the powers were all bullshit
The guy with the Pachinko themed power was especially grating. Akutami is pretty much just having a fuckall good time BSing his readers.

He can't even explain his power system properly. I mean, look at this shit!

Allow me to break it down
>Black flash's happen whenever the author wants them to.

It's so dogshit. Someone in this thread I can't remember tried to convince me it was the best thing ever, but it's really not. The more cursed energy has been explained, the less it makes any sense. It had cursed abilities become an even worse and lopsided version of kekkei genkai with cursed energy being a confusing blend of chakra and Bleach's spiritual whatever nonsense. More people should've listened to Terry Davis: keep it simple because something complex doesn't mean smart or well put together, really it's more of a dysfunctional mess.

some of those issues came down it's release schedule iirc the flashback with eraser was 5 or 6 chapters and the one with KD was 7 or 8 chapters and the final fight with 6 in the Naruhata lockdown was only 3 volumes give or take which I'll admit still dragged but was brief compared to some of the main arcs.
Remind me how much of a role AfO played in the series, all I remember is him being responsible for stealing KD quirk, trying to control 6, but since 6 was nothing but a a schizophrenic failed nomu at that point he was nothing but an imaginary voice in his head, and showing up in the last chapter to say while interesting, koichi's quirk was too much reliant on experience to be worth nabbing.

As for series that are similar to naruto, I remember people comparing magi to it when it was airing. I only got up to the magic jew city arc from the anime (not being hyperbolic, they literally call everyone outside the city as goy) but I remember hearing complaints that during the final arc one of the fan favorite characters (sinbad) went evil and didn't get redeemed.
Also Kishimoto has a twin brother who also makes manga, he has a handful of serialized manga under his belt but I think his most popular work was a series called 666 satan.

Wait I didn't even catch that part where Decay is actually a copy of Overhaul that Ujiko had lying around.
What the fuck. You're just opening up WAY too many questions as to where Overhaul came from, and making the gaping plot hole of "Why doesn't AFO have Overhaul himself" even worse! Plus it's still setting the bases for that awful "Shigaraki finds the reverse switch on his quirk and becomes Scar in lategame FMA" twist I've been dreading by saying Decay is just a neutered Overhaul, which means Shiggy can quirk-evolve the reconstruction ability back anytime!

Why the fuck do we have to be stuck with you, Horikoshi?! At this point I don't care about any of this shit anymore, just hurry up and get to the part where Kurogiri backstabs AFO and they fuse into Kaguya again.
It's become so predictable, and opens up a FUCKTON of other questions that are just as retarded as the answer. LOL! LMAO even!

I mean, seriously, EVERYTHING was according to this bootleg Madara's (who is himself an inferior product) plan?! Lul wut?!
Horikoshi is desparate to shove AFO as the main villain even though he's not even that popular of a character. The only people who even like him are the MHA dickriders. AFO is just there at this point to be the easy solution for Horikoshi to solve all the societal issues in MHA and making the "Deku saves Shigaraki" plot much easier (and to repeat the end of Star Wars when Shigaraki inevitably becomes a good guy).

Horikoshi is amazing for having AFO pretty much betray the themes that he himself sets up

"Pass the torch?" Nah AFO hijacks Shigaraki despite evidence that this was never part of his plan prior and then even All Might comes back in a retarded fight that gets All Might to destroy morale for society and Deku just as a set up to glaze Bakugo.

"[Insert any societal issue caused by quirks]" Nah it's all this one guy's fault whose clearly the devil (AFO instigated the mutant riots in the racism arc and accidentally solved racism)

MHA fans are really funny when they act like this chapter doesn't entirely undermine Shigaraki's backstory as while his familial abuse still happened, he would've still become AFO's pawn if he lived in a nice family when before Shiggy became evil because of being in an abusive family and no one helping him, but given AFO's retarded omnipotence, he could've just easily paid people to not help out Shigaraki. Like it's one thing to have him give Shiggy "Decay" and keep an eye on that family, its another to literally tell Shiggy's dad to have sex.

It doesn't even make him a threat when he gets his ass kicked by more background characters just to stall out before a big "CLAP" moment for MHA fans to cream themselves. Hell 9 chapters ago, he literally died as a baby before becoming a fetus, and then cum.

This doesn't even get started on the Overhaul questions (seriously stealing Overhaul could've restored him to his prime without a weird copy of Rewind)

Its amazing how all MHA stories are ruined the more AFO is involved, like was it really that hard to have an old villain contrast All Might who just wanted to pass the torch to a successor? Act 1 AFO was at least more consistent and didn't just become bootleg Aizen who single handily ruins the entire story.

I have not started this, but the description is funny:
Rise to the top with knowledge and skills in your second life!

Former pro gamer Itsuki, who concealed his controversial past and worked as a VTuber, is attacked by problematic fans after getting doxxed, resulting in an accident that makes him lose consciousness. He wakes up only to find himself 10 years in the past, right after the launch of the hugely popular VRMMO Metasense!

There’s no need to hide his past in this world. Equipped with knowledge and skills from his first playthrough, becoming a top gamer and streamer is effortless!

I… will stand at the pinnacle of Metasense!

This semi-recent semi-trend of isekai where the MC basically gets to relive life on EZmode, or live a new life on EZmode in generic fantasy world, is extremely lame and gay

It's mildly amusing that the least lame and gay ones are the ones that deliberately subvert every isekai trope, or would have been no different if the MC wasn't isekai'd. Or are just vehicles for silly ecchi, like the one where the guy is reincarnated as an onsen

a bit of a segue but very related: how much of the coomerbait in konosuba do you think is parody and how much is functional
not that it cant be both

Anything related to non-Megumin characters: parody

Anything related to Megumin: functional because of course it is. They wink at the audience whenever Kazuma flips out on her and calls her a loli

That's the thing, it surpasses some adblocks, unless you tard wrangle with UBlock a bit.
I don't know about you, but Brave in my experience is pretty good in filtering pirate site ads. One or two slipping through, which is very rare in my experience, isn't a issue
