I guess it comes down to how XF stores data, but, I find it strange that some pages are recoverable and others aren't. I'd be curious to see the pages he claims are lost and take note of if there's some pattern to the content.

It sounds to me like he's manually searching the wayback machine and copying the pages from there. His "developer" apparently completely fucked up his own archive. I don't know, I haven't been paying very close attention, and his story of what can and cannot be recovered keeps changing.

As I understand it, somebody named "Ashley" posted his employer's information in the KF general. Kengle for some reason thought she (?) had started a new thread to post the information, and panic-deleted the thread.
Unfortunately, I'm not an Onion Farms historian, I just happened to be looking there and noticed people were angry at Kengle.

Kengle said he could restore the thread, but he boiled the site's burgers so he thought the only way he could do it was rewind the entire site to the last backup. And apparently now the situation is he boiled those burgers so hard he can't even manage to do that, since he said like a week ago now that was what he was going to have to do...

And then he fucked something up that locked him out of some dashboard or something

Then he said he got access back

And nothing has happened since

Ashley is basically their only noteworthy lolcow. I can't remember why. Sort of hilarious that his own lolcow brought him to his knees.

Null is their main lolcow and the reason the forum even exists and has users. For some reason, some of them are obsessed with trying to prove he doesn't live in Serbia or something.
