Rocco is Joe’s latest vanity project. Any bets on how long it will take him to grow bored of it?

I remember feeling guilty after posting my kids photos to my private FB feed but felt sharing them boomer relatives (the only reason I even have an account) during covid, that live far away, was worth the trade off for the time being.

I cannot fathom people posting their young children’s photos, or private moments on their very public platforms for mass consumption. Now that Rocco is outside of the womb, and can be used as a proper prop for Joe, I expect we will seeing a lot of him until he, or his small audience, gets bored of his gross gay mommy schtick. I don’t think Joe can maintain his interest in playing mummy for very long anyway.

I do wonder if the guilt of raising Rocco as a gender experiment will eventually hit any of them? They all seem incredibly selfish and vapid, so probably not. He was created because they needed something fresh to create trans content with and breeding was one of the few options left. (Though they are already late on the trans parent trend. But I guess Joe can update Mallory’s wiki to indicate he’s the most Twitter cited academic gender scholar trans-mummy now tho.)

One can only hope the actual mother, birther Lilly, might decide Rocco deserves more than being a vanity side project to appease Joe’s personality disorder and need for attention. However, the fact she bred with Joe in the first place indicates she’s got serious issues. She met Joe via twitter after all.

Anyone know if the birther’s parents are still alive? Joe brought his mum all the way over from England to break a hip and see the birth of Joe 2.0. Does Rocco have any other grandparents? Lilly seems to be some waif devoid of any roots now that she’s been planted in Joe’s apartment.

We know Mal’s parents are alive but they have zero connection to Rocco so it doesn’t matter. I can’t imagine how they feel about Mallory and her bizarre delusion about being a Manny to her husband’s girlfriend’s baby and selling newborn photos to a British tabloid for freak show clicks. Mallory will be the best Daddy Ortberg! Just wait and see Dad!

Never, ever forget that being stripped of all the social pomp and circumstance of wife-and-motherhood was exactly what women like Lily (if that is indeed her real name) wanted and fought so bloody hard for.

I hope she enjoys the fruits of her labor. Not the kid- she has forfeited that right- but the total dehumanization that comes with deconstruction.

Now you are asking questions that lead us in some interesting directions. I of course wanted to use my usual tricks to find out, maybe find them on social media. Immediately we hit a complication. Now while I work this out- does anyone know where "Lily" went for undergrad? Her CV and Linkedin only mention Northwestern for the Ph.D.

I can’t help with your question but I’ll be curious for any resulting information. I found it odd that the only family, or grandparent, there for the birth of the baby was Joe’s mother. It’s pretty rare for a mother to not be present for a daughter having her first child unless she is dead, very ill or totally estranged.

The way Joe managed to alienate and destroy any and every connection Mallory had to her family makes me wonder about Lilly’s. I get the idea the only family allowed in the polycule is Joe’s dear old mum.

I wonder how Lilly and Mal will enjoy caring for Joe’s old mother and a newborn in the same small apartment for a few weeks or months. No word on when grandma will be returning to the UK.

Her dad, Michael Woodruff, is dead and her mother is named Susan Spika. Still finding it extremely suspicious how completely she has purged her life prior to Northwestern, and still digging. I got the 'rents from her book acknowledgements:

Well her mom is still alive, in her 70’s and lives near Boulder, CO. Sounds like she had a good relationship with her mom when she published her PhD, but she also had a good relationship with Yelena back then too.

I wonder if Susan will allowed to be a grandma or since Lily is only a birther and Joe and Mal are mom and dad she’s SOL.

I wonder what Lilly’s mom thought of her daughter uprooting her life to be a troon handmaiden. Might have her regretting encouraging that early interest in art.

I hope Rocco gets to have at least one real maternal figure in his life, but that might be a reason to make her verboten. Joe’s mom doesn’t count. Any woman who produced a Joe should be kept away from damaging other small humans.

Lily did her undergrad at UC Santa Cruz, class of 2003.

Well, of course he is, he's trying very hard to be SHOCKING and KWEER and DIFFERENT. From the comments, though, the article flopped quite a bit not because its audience was scandalized, but because the Daily Fail somehow managed to leave out the one detail that might have tied it to a 'celebrity'- that 'Daniel' was Mallory and wrote for Dear Prudence and the Toast, which some people might have recognized. Instead they left 'Agony Aunt' in the title unexplained and thus no-one seems to have made the link, with a couple comments of 'what's agony aunt got to do with it?' left unanswered in the comments. Nobody-professors who write convoluted niche gender studies books are guaranteed to interest no-one who reads the Daily Mail.

As for Joe trying his hand at fiction writing, you know he's going to try to be SHOCKING here too, but I dread to think how he's going to try to top the melee of TERF murdering while typing one-handed that Nicole's bit-on-the-side does.

I mean he pitched and sold the story to the DM, probably others too He would have been gutted if they didn’t run it.

Just keep in mind Joe decided to pimp out his son’s first day on earth to a tabloid for just a few drops of media attention. He really is a soulless ghoul.

Something tells me this pontificating buffoon will be absolutely boring to read for 3/4ths of the book or more due to how much he talks about little things. It's going to be that chapter in Dorian Gray where Dorian did a bunch of pretty and extravagant things then got bored of them, and the feeling was shown to the audience with said quick chapter of purple prose and excess so you could feel bored too. But for Joe it will be him navel gazing and thinking it is profound.

I just remembered something. The trouple lives in a fourth floor walk-up. LMAO. Between the baby equipment and hobbled grandma? Holy shit what a nightmare. If Lilly doesn’t flee with the baby within six months they will be moving to new digs.

NYC is awful to raise small children in if you aren’t a millionaire. I used to feel genuine sympathy for the stupid hipster parents dragging strollers and diaper bags up three flights of stairs to a one bedroom. They always threw in the towel and moved eventually.

I’m the case of the trouple I got zero sympathy. Rest assured Joe won’t be lumbering up and down the stairs with baby equipment, that’s for the women folk to worry about.
