Programming as hardware hacking
To this community we owe almost all performance improvements in our computers,
above and beyond what is demanded by customers.
Nobody else cares about performance quite like people who think about the hardware all day.

Personality Test Pseudoscience – Swedish Edition
Mila Nautikus
the funny thing about personality psychology is:
some personality types naturally believe in a "natural order" (inborn and stable traits) (low agreeableness, few friends, selective, blue blood, nature is stronger)
and other personality types naturally believe that "all humans are born equal" (high agreeableness, many friends, modest, red blood, nurture is stronger).
the problem is, one human alone can never be "neutral" or "objective" - only dead people can be neutral, or perfectly balanced groups, where every one can live his strength and delegate (trust) his weaknesses to his friends.
my vision for balanced groups: https://milahu.github.io/alchi/src/alchi-maps/dist/alchi-maps.2020-09-02.html
lets use the scientific method to decide, whether my vision is "ugly but functional" or "pretty but useless". the good thing is: its rather easy to test (the criterium for a "natural" science is testability). the bad thing is: no one is responsible ...
has your tinnitus gotten any better OP?

cat >/dev/null <<EOF

our boy has done his part and archived it for all to see
the Nix Discourse
Seems to be an Ebay scraper of some sort, generating a Markdown file. (for the Germans: what's he searching for?)
Includes the most retarded way to write a comment that I've seen (cat >/dev/null <<EOF
).
Nothing much of note here apart from him apparently still holding a grudge against the Nix community.
im all for transparency, i hate all censorship, so i have archived my side of the story.
the obvious solution is "transparent moderation"
all events are splitted into "metadata" and "content"
metadata is only machine-readable data: checksum, signature, parent-checksum
content can be anything
parent-checksum is needed to build a chain of events
(like in git, ssb, ...)
"relay" should be renamed to "publisher", because thats what it is
because only dead people are "neutral"
so there are no "neutral platforms", but only "biased publishers"
every publisher has his bias, and his jurisdiction. "my house, my rules"
an online-publisher has the same review-process as an offline-publisher
accepting this reality (abuse is a real problem) is better than screaming "anarchy!!"
and going down for publishing "abusive content"
every publisher can publish all metadata by default
because there only a low risk that metadata contains "bad stuff"
it is possible to generate readable hashes (mkp224o)
but the string length is limited to 5...7 chars
similar to bittorrent, where trackers publish metadata and peers
in contrast, publishers can block all content by default
and only after review, publish the content
so every event can be in one of four states
1. unreviewed and unpublished
2. reviewed and published
3. unreviewed and published
4. reviewed and unpublished
maybe this can be made more complex
allowing the publisher to add comments
allowing the publisher to revoke his decisions
so when a publisher decides that some content stays unpublished
(aka: blocked, censored, banned, ...)
then the publisher only publishes the metadata
so the publisher leaves a trace of the content ("transparent moderation")
and the user can use the metadata
to search the content on different publishers
(the content-author can also act as a publisher, self-publishing)
in contrast, meta-censorship leaves no trace of the censored content
the process of censorship is censored
and to "outsiders" it looks like there never was something
and only "insiders" know that there was something
see also my concept p2p-killerapp#transparent-moderation
you are advocating indiscriminate murder.
I believe it is okay to kill in self defence
