Correct. Byuu offered something in the neighborhood of $100k for Null to take down his thread. Null said no, so Byuu doubled down and said he’d kill himself if Null didn’t comply. Null said “lol k” and that was that.

I’m sure there are several nations that’d try and prosecute someone failing to stop a troon from necking itself despite being several thousand miles away but I’m confident none of them are in Eastern Europe. Or Japan, for that matter.

Near stated he was going to kill himself because a friend disowned him over an untrue and baseless statement in the thread that he was a pedophile. If it was an allegation that wasn't backed up by anything then why was it allowed to stay up to begin with? The post I originally replied to said "any mature sane person would side with us" and I'm saying that isn't the case. It is objectively not the case. A mature and sane person would ask why that allegation was made and why the lie was allowed stay up, evidently to publicly taunt him. This much was made clear when the DKF campaign happened and thousands of "sane, mature" people asked that. The companies keeping this site up were forced to confront that question as well.

He's dead because he was autistic and mentally ill and as a result had tenuous personal relationships. And the false allegation that he was guilty of the worst crime most people can fathom pushed him over the edge, a his suicide note said. If anything him offering up his life savings makes him more sympathetic because it shows he was serious about how much this allegation was effecting him. Regardless of how much that was true in reality he was mentally ill and he believed it enough that he fucking killed himself. Are all of you really this divorced from how normal people would process what led up to this event or are you just self-soothing in an echo chamber?

I've honestly been wondering for a while if it was Hector's "Anonymous Friend" we all know of, who was on the phone with Byuu when he pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del:

Of course, we'd never find any proof of this. But if it was true, it could imply a few different things:

• Hector didn't really know Byuu, or at least only knew him through online interactions via Hector's weird vtuber cosplayer persona, and thus couldn't call the police since he didn't know Byuu well enough to have his address (but guys, he was so affected by Byuu's death!)
• Hector did know Byuu well enough to have his address, but didn't want to draw attention to the connection between Hector and the Lina character. Or didn't call the cops because he's a sociopath piece of shit and wanted the e-clout for being the one to report Byuu's death.
• Maybe something else, I'm just thinking out loud here.
• This also assumes that Marcan's google doc account is remotely true.
