US Disgruntled Chipotle customer shoots employee over guacamole dispute - The suspect was arrested near the restaurant and the firearm in the shooting was recovered

A trigger-happy customer in Michigan is accused of shooting a Chipotle employee near Detroit on Friday night, reportedly over an argument about guacamole.

The violence unfolded at a Southfield location on Evergreen Road near Civic Center Drive just before 7 p.m.

A witness told FOX 2 they were eating when they heard an argument break out between a customer and an employee.

When the employee briefly went to the back of the restaurant, the customer walked around the counter, tried to grab his food and put it in the bag, another witness told the outlet.

"Then the employee came back, and they started fighting, and then we heard a gunshot and just ran out as quickly as we could," he said.

Southfield police told Fox News Digital the employee was shot in the leg. They did not confirm FOX 2's reporting that the argument involved guacamole.

A customer who captured the argument on video said the suspect "took his time getting out" after allegedly firing the gun.

"I was in my car and I saw him walk out to his car, close the door, and just drive off — he didn’t speed off or anything, it was weird to see," he said.

Responding officers provided medical aid to the victim and transferred him to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury.

The suspect, identified as a 33-year-old male from Detroit, was arrested near the restaurant. Police recovered the firearm used in the shooting. The facts surrounding the incident are still under investigation, police said.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to our team member who was injured by the senseless act of violence that occurred inside our Evergreen Road restaurant in Southfield, MI. We are working cooperatively with the authorities handling this investigation and hope justice will be served for the individual responsible for this crime," Chipotle said in a statement.

Southfield is about a 20-minute drive northwest of Detroit.

It's just confounding how people like this won't have any empathy for the damaged life of their victim over something so trivial, or even stop to consider their own well-being afterwards when they are punished for doing something so stupid over so little. How do you even wrap your head around the mindset that causes this kind of action?

An interesting video, if you are a scientific racist. The white boys filming are laughing because this is such an absurd situation, who gets into a big loud argument over guacamole? They’ve never seen such a thing as nice white middle class suburbanites. Hilarious!

So they are completely unprepared for gunfire. They can’t notice the situation escalate because they’ve been propagandized from birth and they haven’t had enough experience for pattern recognition to kick in. For many middle class whites, the taboo against noticing just never goes away, leaving them vulnerable.

Being around underclass blacks is risky. They have hot tempers and poor impulse control. If if you’re around underclass blacks and people get mad, just split. Just get up and leave. It would blow your mind how often a minute of shouting turns into a shooting. The path from normal interaction to “disrespect” to murder is like 30 seconds for this kind of person. Sad!

Chipotle guac isn't worth the price of a bullet.
Yeah, Chipotle has really gone downhill over the years. Back when they first started popping up all over the place, I remember thinking their food was the best thing I had ever eaten, even on bad days. Now it's just barely passable even on good days. I can't really put my finger on what changed, but I never get more than half way through a burrito before I regret buying it in the first place.

Anyway, the quality of the food probably contributed to the factors leading up to the shooting, if you ask me. I can see someone getting shot over this.

I'm convinced there's an exec making the rounds of fast food corpo offices one by one.
Around 2005, the same shit happened to McDonalds Fries. They were great, every order, then in 2005, most batches became rancid. I'm convinced a corporate bean counter simply increased the amount of time potatoes are kept before being thrown out.
Same guy probably made it to Chipotle recently and convinced them to keep food past the expiration date there, too.

I think about this sometimes. I know I could improve my station in life if I fucked over dumb people, and sometimes it really seems like these people are less-than human, so it shouldn’t affect me as much, but I still feel that guilt…

Those White guys are dumb. It's not funny, it's Black people. When they start flipping out, you leave. You don't wait for the gunfire. There's no winning in that situation.
Did you really expect teenage zoomers who have been fed "black people good!" propaganda their entire lives from kindergarten to know better?

I'm sure big nig is going to do a long bid and that Chipotle is going to honor and compensate their employee for defending their guacamole reserves...

...right?

W-W-Wait, he's going to get fired and possibly sued by his boss and company? Big Nig might get the case dismissed and even compensated?
Oh, it's America 2024, that's right.
I mean, DAS RITE.

Why do niggers always chimp out over the dumbest things? Fucking guac of all things, can't even get food quietly without making it into a circus.
you never had to wait 20 or 30 minutes for food while some shithead teenagers fucks around on the phone making sly comments? a lot of food places services went in the dumps after 2020, shit the dude is a hero. the black version of falling down.
