They gave the parents of Ethan Crumbley 10-15 years for Ethan Crumbley shooting up a school.

Blood guilt is now official US law and policy. (As long as you're white.)

I'm all against holding outside parties responsible, but didn't they literally get him the gun in spite of the glaringly obvious warning signs he was batshit crazy?

Well, that makes it hard for Republicans to win Arizona this cycle. They [the legislature] should probably do something about that to limit the blowback, but they won't.

An educated electorate would simply demand their legislature do their job to amed or repeal as desired. A stupid electorate thinks it's the supreme courts fault their legislature actually have to earn their paychecks now.

REP. JACKSON LEE: "A full moon is that complete rounded circle, which is made up mostly of gases...How could we as humans, live on the moon?...The sun is a mighty powerful heat that is almost impossible to go near the sun. The moon is more manageable."
Words from a US House Representative and Yale University graduate everyone.

Identity politics Ushering in white supremacist fascism is kind of poetic. When we’re in the camps and children ask why is this happening and we’ll respond “because Sotomayor didn’t owe you anything”
Apparently liberals calling for a new Supreme Court justice before Trump comes in.

Oh fuck off, retiring for health reasons is one of the very few things that will make me think kindly of justices like Sotomayor and Thurgood Marshall. Ginsburg should've done it too but she was being a vindictive bitch. I have nothing positive to say about Thurgood Marshall other than the fact that he did the right thing and retired when he knew he should have and didn't let the sitting President affect his decision. If Sotomayor does that too then good for her.

It's been slowly gathering steam. Nate Silver wrote a long ass post about it yesterday, nerding out about made up statistics. It would actually be an intelligent decision to retire now, but half of the Dems are vehemently against it and call any insinuations towards it racist, sexist, etc. Because it is the objectively smartest play in the grand scheme of things, she will likely not do it and we'll have Ginsburg part 2.

The Hillary campaign is going to go down as one of history's greatest blunders. Bitch had the whole media apparatus on her side, was funded to the point of having infinity money, and none of that was enough to even make a dent to her reputation as an absolute toxic monster. I'm a (D) on paper and when it came to the primaries I had somehow accidentally penciled in Killary and actually vomited on the ballot when I realized. Her defeat was so thorough that the non totally coping media pundits called it for Trump before sundown.
You're absolutely right and watching the slowly collapsing faces of pro-Clinton pundits throughout the night was a balm for the soul.

But I must add to what you say and remind you that on top of all that, it was Hillary herself who instructed her allies in the media to promote Trump during the Primaries because she thought beating him would be easy. Hilarious.

Anyone still a (D) on paper is certifiably 5150 or anti-human.
Be fair, "on paper" means in theory but not so for certain reasons. I can totally respect an ethical or reasoning Leftist. I just pity them for being even more left behind by their supposed party than Conservatives are by theirs!

i think the fact that they had even tried to force Hillary as president was a clear sign that the Democrats were at the end of their rope and would never be a good party to vote for ever again.
I don't think that was what was actually happening. It's not that the Dems were so desperate for a candidate that they had to settle for Hilary. She had a lock on the DNC and had other candidates sabotaged. The DNC was having severe financial difficulties at one point and Hilary bailed them and effectively owned them thereafter. They didn't pick Hilary so much as Hilary said "I own you." I'd have to refresh my memory on the details but there was some scandal about her and the head of the DNC leaking her questions in advance, iirc.

She was so despised that after she became candidate rather than vote for her anyway, a significant number of Bernie Sanders supporters actually voted for Trump rather than her. I struggle to think of a candidate in living memory who has been so despised by her own supposed support base.

I thought we had reached the "...and if it happens, it's not our fault" or even the "...and if it were they deserved it" stages of excuse. But no, we've bumped right back up to the top with "It didn't happen".

Does America have capacity for all the parents who are soon to be locked up? I mean this isn't only a precendent for school shooters is it? This is a general precedent for any number of crimes a kid might commit which parents are now on the hook for.

Statistically, the children of single mothers are far more likely to commit crimes. (This is not so for children of single fathers, fwiw). So I guess it's war on single mothers time?

So when does she actually retire and what are the chances of the Biden administration being the one that gets to appoint a replacement. Very high now, no? So why are any Progressive types upset with her? Someone help me out here, please? :)

it will be packed full of batshit democrat polices so they can scream about the mean republicans when it fails.
Those evil Republicans wouldn't pass our marijuana bill... that also funded Ukraine... and made it so immigration policy can't be changed for the next five years...

@Overly Serious reply bug

The idea is that she retires now, like now now. And Biden appoints a new Justice before the election. The Dems have the Senate right now so they could ram someone through and they don't have to worry about a Merrick Garland repeat. This is all borne of a fear of an RBG situation happening again and giving Trump 4 SCOTUS appointees if he wins in November, theoretically more if Thomas or Alito decide to dip during a Trump presidency. Even if Alito and/or Thomas don't dip, that would be a 7-2 conservative majority and would mean that Robert's cucking wouldn't matter anymore. You'd only have Obama's lesbo and Biden's DEI hire as the liberal justices.
