@Overly Serious reply bug

The idea is that she retires now, like now now. And Biden appoints a new Justice before the election. The Dems have the Senate right now so they could ram someone through and they don't have to worry about a Merrick Garland repeat. This is all borne of a fear of an RBG situation happening again and giving Trump 4 SCOTUS appointees if he wins in November, theoretically more if Thomas or Alito decide to dip during a Trump presidency. Even if Alito and/or Thomas don't dip, that would be a 7-2 conservative majority and would mean that Robert's cucking wouldn't matter anymore. You'd only have Obama's lesbo and Biden's DEI hire as the liberal justices.
If she does resign right now, any stalling measures that can be done to delay an appointment until Trump is in power?

Biden's handlers would have to nominate someone so extreme and unqualified that Blue Dogs would balk at the idea of keeping their seat if they voted yea, and even then there's probably still a RINO or two in the Senate willing to retire mid-term to a cushy lobbyist gig and hand them a majority again.

How many RINOs are even left at this point?

A lot.

Take a look at the replies and twitter feed for this guy:

I know Nebraska's not a huge state, but anyone in nebraska needs to kick this guy out.
He's so insufferable I'd vote democrat just to get his ass out of that seat. It's only 2 years.

Oh yeah, and eyepatch McCain (crenshaw) wasn't ousted in the primary, either, despite voting to fund Biden every time.

If I were on Tucker's legal team I'd be threatening fraud lawsuits behind closed doors over the sudden exclusion of vast parts of his target audience on "X"
For real

Red line was the Putin episode. He's seeing the boost Owens is getting from third worldists and groypers and desperately chasing it.

Digging through old ass papers to save fetuses is more important than securing a border. Glad their priorities are set straight, they must LOVE losing and taking it up the ass.
Really nice take. Now, who was the plaintiff?

Specifically, former AG Mark Brnovich.
Technically speaking, on introspection, my question was unfair. Planned Parenthood started it, but Mark did indeed move to remove the injunction got after Planned Parenthood's win, which started the two year litigation, so I guess your critique's fair.

Tucker touched the golden calf of the American right wing.

That's why I cant take christianity seriously. "Sorry brother, I despise them too, but you must suffer and be sacrificed so I can give them everything they could ever want. Rabbi josh pinky-promised that putting them first, serving them, and enduring unending suffering would lead to their defeat."

That is a modern phenomenon. Byzantine marginalized Jews into powerless positions and the Catholic Church outright banned the Talmud. Jews are heretics and those who try to cross Christianity should not be allowed power in society.

Absolutego kind of already answered you, but he's right. Retiring the "Wise Latina" is objectively the correct move for Dems to make right now and the right has very little tools to stop it from happening.

It will likely not happen because of how people approach politics right now. People only look at US Politics as a "My team vs the literal demons from hell" when they aren't involved directly or have interests that supercede their desire to win (pride, ideals, power, etc). Meaning, they will only make "plays" when it is in their personal interest and very rarely make those "plays" with the interests of the team in mind. Sotomayor was only appointed in 2009 and hasn't even been on the bench for 15 years. Nearly half the bench has been there longer than she has and if she retires now, she leaves almost no legacy.

It is also a faux pas to ask her to step down. She is the "Wise Latina", the only Latina ever appointed and appointed by the only black president. To publicly and directly ask her to step down would go against the grain of everything the left claims to stand for. I can only assume these few articles are trial balloons to see how the public reacts to this prior to deciding whether or not to actually push for her to retire.

And because it is the objectively correct play for the left in the grand scheme of US Politics, they will not do it.
