Anyway, the thing is, Sophie is, for some reason, believes in some kind of alternate history in which transgender have essentially suffered the same fate as the indians first nation.
The "two common genders" can be replaced by "The British & the French", and the "special genders" can be the indians.
All in all, she believes that trans people always existed (most likely true) but that society's repressive (Quebec was very Christian until recently-ish, with Internet spreading atheism) forced them to hide and suffer, and she sees that as a slight.
This is what she wants revenge for.
It's similar to US slavery in some ways. Most people agree that they were not the one who had slaves, that their ancestors were ignorant morons for having slaves (if they even did have some), and now everyone respects each other because really, none of you wanted this to happen.

Would be interesting if this led to Frank becoming MtF and Stephie having an internal conflict of wanting to be supportive but still liking boys and realising that it's thanks to her insistent indoctrination that someone she genuinely liked has become someone she couldn't see herself dating anymore....but pfft that'll never happen.

Yeah, Ciel's kind of a dick but he's not really malicious. He's just awkward and antisocial.
