Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

Man it's been a very long time since fighting the bugs with any seriousness. What's your go-to primary for bug killing? I tried the fire Breaker, but I'm not finding it that amazing.

Fire meta is actually amazing and fun (just remember to dive and bring extra stims if you need to) . The breaker is not good at range but it shreds tight groups and larger bugs (fire deals with armored by targeting squishy bits) at close range (use the smg pistol in semiauto for medium range trash). Remember that it's a DOT gun, so you spread your fire instead of focusing. Sickle is efficient, has great range and deals with swarms very well but the warm up time sucks under pressure and no medium pen. Punisher has the rounds reload going for it and has some nice stun still (RIP Slugger) but again no medium pen. Scorcher is okay for bugs but amazing against bots (it's tight on ammo though so you need to use the smg pistol in semi-auto for smaller trash).

Incendiary grenades absolutely devastate breaches, see the breach, toss one, pull out your marshmallows, that goes double for the napalm airstrike. They also hold flanks/fronts so well. Just cover the nest rim in napalm and shoot whatever makes it through.

Loadout depends on the level (high lvl = more heavies) so an optimal loadout for level 7 is going to be slow for level 3.... That being said get used to killing heavies with the Quasar now and that leaves you with a back slot, most would run the laser dog but I find the bullet dog almost never shoots me (and the laser one wants to scalp me constantly). Flamethrower and shield is fun but dangerous (the key is to use is sparingly to hold chokes and always be walking backwards). Autocannon is always an option too, pairs real well with the breaker (more of a bot weapon but if you are careful with your reloads it's great, amazing against spewers). You should always have some anti-heavy like the orbital rail, orbital laser or EATs

My brother complained about having basically the same thing happen too; fire tornados love swarming objectives nowadays I guess
Every mission that has fire tornados ends with 5+ tornados on top of the extraction and everyone trying to stay alive and thread the needle of getting into the pelican without dying and dropping samples.

I am convinced they are programmed to track players and when you group up so do they. Needs testing but I would try spreading out, working the perimeter and leaving only 1 person on extract until the pelican lands.

Not liking the bots, they are insanely more difficult than the bugs. Might stick with the bugs after doing like one mission for the bots; they just ain't fun.

The transition between them makes it seem harder than it is. I was so used to Malevalon and Tibit that going back to bugs felt frantic. It's all in the loadout and how you approach the missions. Treat the mortars like stalkers, stop what you are doing, follow the lines in the sky (or the invisible bugs) back to where they came from and smoke 'em. If your team can deal with the mortars you will be in good shape. Quasar has made the cannons much easier. Cripple the hulks leg and then just kite it around, quasar drop ships. Scorcher two shots walkers head on (aim for the slot), pair that with the Quasar for killing Hulks/Tanks/Cannons. Autocannon + JAR5 or Sickle is probably the other best choice, less effective against the heavies (bring orbital or something) but absolutely wreaks devastators and berserkers and walkers and all that medium trash, also bubble shield lets you take cover anywhere and reload/eyeshot hulks in peace.

Autocannon + JAR5
I tried this but I'm so tied to fighting at longer 30+m ranges that I can't effectively aim the Dominator. It has noticeable travel time and this fucks with me bad. I'm still using the slugger and after the nerf it's not that big a deal. If you center of mass troopers it takes them out unless it's a bad angle (you can get deflection markers) and it can still pop devastators in the head at closer ranges. I understand why it had to be nerfed since it's effectively a sniper rifle and it still is better than Diligence rifles in almost every aspect.

tl;dr skill issue little baby who can't lead his dominator shots on moving targets.

Helldivers twitter just posted this and deleted it.

Translates to: WHERE IS KARL?

This just strengthens my suspicion that at some point they're going to add Hulk Detonators that go up like a hellbomb when they die.
Don't promises me a good time like that.

Can't wait for the new Warbond. I've got 2.2k Super Credits saved up from missions, fully unlocked the standard warband, and 250 medals. Gotta spend the the SC on something and now I just gotta figure out which one.

I'm close to having 3k super credits saved up so I'm thinking about randomly buying super credit armor/helmets every time i hit 3k

I think that the automatons were looking for this "Karl" person on cyberstan but could not find him.
No idea who Karl is, maybe somebody who's related to the creation of the automatons?
It would be odd that a race like this can speak in Binary and have their warchant in complete english, Human concepts.

Might be autisticly thinking too much about this.

Apparently it's a Deep Rock Galactic reference. Those devs are also sweedes.

I'm still trying to figure out how to farm medals, or which kinds of missions to go for with those. I just started in the last week, 'cause I've been busy with RL shit.

There really isn't. Basically your best bet is to complete the Personal Orders every day and run around the map collecting stuff from PoI (Points of Interest). Radar stations (if they spawn on a map) will show you ever single PoI on the map getting the Radar Tower up and going. You can also start your own campaign that will give you ramping up bonus medals for completing each mission of the campaign.

Farming/Grinding will just get you to hate the game.

Ha, god damn do the new/updated ship modules look nice. Time to focus on getting all those samples again.

Normally the first 3 things i buy in a warbond are the super credits, the guns/grenades/boosters (2 slots are these).

But in the new one the first thing I bought was the slav squat

Now I just gotta hope they sell 3 white striped armor in the future

I dunno why the heck they put yet another servo assisted armor in the new warbond. We already have an entire warbond full of those.
On that note, the armor system is lame. I get that people have already spent super credits and the system won't be changing soon but ffs, just let the armor be cosmetic and allow the player to select the archetype and perk. People will still spend super credits for the cosmetic alone.

looks like they added another 100 super samples worth of tier 4 ship upgrades
They all require tons of requisition points too which i've been capped at for a while.

Fuck the super samples, they all need 150 regular samples each. Actual cock and ball torture.
It def is a upgrade that is suppose to take time to get. I do wonder, if the fire damage bug is fixes, just how powerful this will make the Flamethrower and Napalm Strike. Suck they put it behind Power Steering.

I do bug missions on helldive difficulty.
One or two will comb the map for samples, rest goes and to the objectives.
I often come back with around 20 or 30 commons.
