Helldivers 2 - Hell is more diverse than ever as PlayStation's demographics continue to grow and change.

Well fuck me I was dead wrong huh.

I wonder if my idea about cyborgs will still stand. Looking at helldivers.io, there's no actual route to Cyberstan via supply lines but I assume one of the 2 planets before it connects to the rest which then appear to loop around and reach it:
Cyberstan-supply-lines.jpg

If it's accurate and one of those two (I assume the right one) will open up and connect to the planet right of Cyberstan, we are seriously time-gated as we can then only go one planet at a time for 3 planets until we reach Cyberstan. Even if the player base completely stopped everything and only did these planets there's no way we can reach Cyberstan or even another one of them by Thursday. This means with the warbond pass they can also patch some stuff and sneak in any cyborg units like how they snuck in shriekers and the AT-ATs, and have them set to only appear on whichever planets.

I'm insanely optimistic about this being the case not because I would be right but because it would be fucking rad to shoot the actual augmented commies and not their toys.

How the fuck are you supposed to defend planets from the bot invasion when every operation includes at least one evacuation mission? They are impossible. The bots can drop anywhere, they come in 5 sec. waves with at least 1 hulk each, you can't call or recollect your support weapon because it takes too long, making you utterly defenseless against the neverending onslaught, within minutes every house is destroyed leaving you without any cover whatsoever and on top of that this its not even helldive-difficulty.

I did a lvl7 civilian extraction earlier and it wasn't as bad as it was a few weeks ago where you got to maybe 15 people before constant tank and hulk drops. It is way more manageable now and my squad of randos managed to get it with about as much difficulty as any other lvl7 mission.

It was exactly like you described: A neverending onslaught of tanks and hulks dropping. Also, weren't they supposed to spawn outside the settlement now? Because they definitely dropped right in front of the doorsteps.

They drop on your doorstep if you a solider bot is a allowed to send up a flare.

This is the issue people don't get. Bugs and bots can still reinforce on those missions. The floating defense spawns are supposed to spawn further out now. The only other missions I can think of that do this are geological surveys when working the probes/drill, and the TCS towers.

However, bots especially commissars (the sword and pistol without a jet pack) will try and call in flares. I think the prior issue was that the bots weren't given an off switch, or however their internal reinforcement cooldown works they were per spawn or something who knows. The fact is you have a smaller area to defend and every enemy on the map there and they didn't touch the Hulk/Tank rates like the bugs.

Every mission that has fire tornados ends with 5+ tornados on top of the extraction and everyone trying to stay alive and thread the needle of getting into the pelican without dying and dropping samples.

Its their intention to let us lose for once so it can drive the plot?
I won't be surprised if they reach super earth after we fail this mission.

I've been having decent success going full smoker and just focusing on getting civilians to the bunker. Most randos go full murder mode so it balances out pretty well

I hope the developers put in pride flag capes for June, as super store purchases. All the people of gender would have to pay realmonies for super credits or grind away like ten 40-minute missions to squander super credits that should be saved for the next warbond. Fuck, I double dog dare them to put autismically-cosmetic lead magnets available for purchase in the game. Nothing bad could ever happen if they give a fascist, negligent-discharge-prone lemming the most obnoxious way imaginable to stand out from the other fascist, negligent-discharge-prone lemmings.

I want them SEAF troops. Hell, I want a whole warbond centered around them. Let me deploy an entire platoon, the spectacle alone would be worth it.
There's four ways that SEAF troops could be done. Call-in stratagem with like 5 charges that would allow for a Pelican's worth of troops to be deployed around the nearest objective where your pokeball lands, armed with a consistent layout of 3 rifles, 1 spear, 1 stalwart. Other call-in is having a gunship show up as a loitering air strike. In maps, there could be a bunker where the SEAF has holed up inside and is waiting for Helldivers to secure the area so they can escape the siege. As a reward, one would get randomized squads of whatever leftovers they can afford to send out every 4 minutes or so. Alternatively, it's a vehicle depot so instead of a random squad, you get a random NPC controlled armored vehicle who will go where it's asked to go.

I'm fairly certain one of the stratagems buried in the code is calling some SEAF reinforcements to serve as a distraction or extra firepower.

Not liking the bots, they are insanely more difficult than the bugs. Might stick with the bugs after doing like one mission for the bots; they just ain't fun.
