Alejandra Caraballo / Alex Caraballo / @Esqueer_ - Twitter trans rights activist, cyberlaw teacher who doesn't understand cyberlaw, mass flaggot, humiliated in congress by a real woman.

Every single line in Alex's screenshots has other problems and deficiencies IN ADDITION TO the problems and deficiencies that he cherry picked and highlighted. Is he really this dumb and incompetent?

I think this is the first Alex post that has actually made me MATI. Wanting blinding and randomization and control groups is an "impossible standard"? These are the people who present themselves as the expert class that the peons should trust because they know The Science. Fuck these people.

(Also LOL at him not highlighting the "poor quality overall" text that is right there. We can still see it, Alex.)

Just to add at how retarded his post is, each document he posted was like 5 pages at most. The Telegraph front page is now out claiming the real report released tomorrow is 388 pages long. He may have got his hands on press briefings but it’s not the whole report. So making claims off limited information is wild too.

This man's too dumb to realize that if this is true then the null hypothesis is rejecting practicing cult voodoo on children not doing it anyway because "well, it'd be impossible to know if it works!"

The Cass Review goes into what each of these studies found at several points; it just also says that they have issues with keeping participants around long enough to record results that could build a strong basis of knowledge. It also says that they tried to get follow-up data from the adult gender clinics to see if youth continued their treatment afterward, but the adult clinics outright refused to help them look into it.

It really is 388 pages, I'm only a third of the way through. But Cass also says she kept coming back to the question of why this issue, alone of all medical or psychological treatments, should operate in this totally insane way, where all services are siloed off from other experts who aren't invited to weigh in, where there's no record-keeping about why some patients get some treatments and others don't, where one 70-patient study suddenly opened the floodgates on puberty blockers without even being able to say if they had any effect one way or another on anything at all. She found the answer was that it shouldn't.

Alex's and the retards in Alex's replies think they're so special that it would be unethical to do studies with a control group, because that would mean withholding life-saving gender-affirming care (never mind that they do studies like that with fucking cancer patients). They are also endlessly claiming that double-blind studies can't be done because hormones and blockers have side effects, as if it's the first time in medical history that an issue like that has come up and researchers have no way to deal with it.

Also, now that it's getting harder to crow about how gender medicine is supported by all major medical institutions, they simply blame the non-support on politics:

So let's follow that logic... if medical institutions are essentially just the puppets of whatever political party is in power, why exactly are we supposed to trust the institutions that still endorse puberty blockers? Aren't they influenced by politics too?

Either medical institutions are neutral and trustworthy, or they're not. But apparently the argument is that they are neutral and trustworthy right up until they question giving chemical castration drugs to 12-year-olds.

Alex manages to be both dishonest and stupid. He's changed blinding to 'double-blind' when blinding refers to more than just double-blind studies. A single-blind study could involve the data collector, who knows what treatment a patient received, removing that information before passing to the data assessor, the person who interprets the results. For example, a patient is asked 'has your depression got better or worse in the last 6 months' . They might answer something like "Well, a little better since I started medication". The data collector would record 'better/much better/no change/worse/much worse', removing any extraneous comments made by the patient. Now the assessor is blind - they only know what has changed, not whether the patient received treatment. The next step would re-connect the blind assessment with the treatment received and a data analyst would determine whether patients receiving treatment has an improvement or not. Doctors manage to do blinding on surgical studies so it's possible with puberty blockers/hormones.

The lack of control groups is also a problem. That can include any group receiving different care. It could be kids who got PBs compared to kids who don't. It doesn't mean some kids are denied treatment to act as a control since not every child wants or can receive them. It could (and should) compare kids who received PBs with those who also received mental health services. Many of them fail to mention if any other therapy was given, a serious - fatal - flaw.

The narrative the TRAs is pushing is that Cass had an impossible standard. They're deliberately using limited definitions of blinding and controls. It's blatantly dishonest.

It's because they know they're butchers committing quackery and doing any real research on it would show that. They aren't interested in assisting in the investigation of their own medical fraud and malpractice.

Or as with anything Caballo says, he could just be deeply, malignantly stupid.

Which is why his only retort is "Cass is a literal Nazi!:

Cass talks at length about all those options, too, they are just pretending she didn't.

if somebody killed himself because he had to wait, he was mentally unstable and trooning out would not have solved his problems.
It’s been discussed plenty on the farms but yes. The Litman case was certainly that. The boy was under Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for years. Had made several attempts before but trooning out was sold as the magic pill for making all that go away. I find it funnny how much the mother tries to pin it on JK Rowling.

1. That is not what that says Alex.

2. Just 5 minutes ago you were insisting that they did't talk to any troons at all. Which is it Big Al?

There is a serious problem with troon reaading comprehension in general.

Question for you Big Dumb Gay Al.

1. What about the detransitioners outside of the 2018 - 2022 cohort window?

2. What about the detransitioners living outside of England or Wales?

3. What about the detransitioners that had less than 2 appointments at the GIDS clinic?

Here is another example of Alex either lying or being unable to read. Rowling said to set the OPINION on fire.

I feel like Big Dumb Gay Al is hiding the ball here and leaving something very important out. You know, the part about the troon being the one in the wrong and knowngly entering a women's restroom that had been legally banned from entering. He also leaves out the part where the troon has done this on multiple occasions.

Rajee Narinesingh was dining at a Florida restaurant with friends in October when a woman stopped her in the women’s bathroom and told her to leave.

“You don’t belong in this bathroom,” she said. “You need to get out.” Narinesingh told The Daily Beast that the other diner looked at her like she was the “scum of the earth.” “If looks could kill, I’d be 18 feet under the ground,” she said.

The two of them were alone in the bathroom, and Narinesingh feared the worst might happen—especially having transitioned during the 1980s, an even less tolerant time than today. Right before she started taking her first steps into womanhood, she was pulled off a city bus in Philadelphia at 18 years old and beaten by six men who brutalized her as bystanders watched.

The next time Narinesingh was attacked, she was at a gas station in Miami, where she had to fight for her life to get away from her assailants. Her eyes were blackened in the assault, she says, and her face left completely swollen. When she got home, she poured a bucket of ice into a towel as she prayed that nothing like this would ever happen to her again.
