A guy could be a poor starving artist/musician type who surfs couches and has no realistic chance of making it big, but if he meets a minimum standard of looks, then there is a certain demographic of women who would be interested in him.
A guy could be a career criminal who has physically assaulted teenagers younger than him and has been in and out of prison (Jeremy Meeks), but if he has the right skull type, good facial genetics and a good mug shot, then there is a certain demographic of women who would be interested in him. OFF-TOPIC DIVERSION
Okay, I'm just now reviewing the Alex from Target which happened in 2014, ten years ago. He got national attention just for being cute/hot and girls and women of all ages were thirsting over him. The obvious question: how old was he at the time? Get this. He was 16. According to some people's standards (including some on Kiwi Farms), this is national American female pedophilia being promoted in the mainstream media.
This is such a fucking cliche, but imagine if someone took a photo of a 16 year old Starbucks female employee, then she is invited to mainstream media and the entire male population of the country started lusting over her.
I'm not saying both above situations is right or wrong, but just pointing out the blatant double standard. An early feminist example of "female gaze = good, male gaze = bad"
