They aren't just tight, Nintendo directly owns a large stake in Game Freak, which combines with their own direct ownership in Pokemon.Pokemon is jointly owned by Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures. Game Freak is so tight with Nintendo, they operate out of one of Nintendo's buildings. Trying to argue Pokemon isn't Nintendo is an extremely autistic splitting of hairs.
The first game was originally going to a RPG but with humans only but they eventually focused on as life-simulation.Hear me out here. Animal Crossing in a JRPG.
I'd say the same holds true about any game that panders to an immutable trait. Duke Nukem was fun because he went so far beyond a stereotype that he became a self-caricature. You didn't feel like your manliness was being pandered to, you felt like it was being fulfilled while also being parodied at the same time. There's a fine line between "girly" and "for girls". I think anybody without hangups can play Peach games, but playing Barbie would be pretty faggy.
Sonic the Hedgehog? (Or, really, anything with Sega of America influence at all) Yokai Watch? Anything with dinosaurs?I'd say the same holds true about any game that panders to an immutable trait. To put it another way, can you name an actually good game that can be summed up as "a bunch of random stuff that some middle aged men thought boys would like"? Probably not, and if so then it's probably good ironically and/or accidentally. Because any game that ticks boxes rather than concerning itself with being fun is always going to suck.
Its actually Genius Sonority that Nintendo owns a stake in, not Game Freak. Game Freak, Creatures, and Nintendo all own one-third of the Pokémon Company, which manages the Pokémon brand. They aren't just tight, Nintendo directly owns a large stake in Game Freak, which combines with their own direct ownership in Pokemon.
Gio Corsi was in charge of 3rd party relations and also overseeing the internal Japanese studios of Sony Computer Entertainment before Jim Ryan fucked it all up.
They technically remade Red/Blue/Yellow as that was what Let’s Go Pikachu & Evee was.Sure they don’t technically own the franchise, but the other spinoff games are there and as far as I can tell there’s no plan to release a red/blue/yellow or gold/silver collection for sale so is there some obvious reason I’m overlooking?
Sounds more like a Gamescom problem than a Nintendo problem.Nintendo won’t be attending Gamescom 2024
people are saying this is pointing to a pretty barren year for Ninty, since they love doing hands-on demos. But they could also be afraid of more leaks, as what happened during Gamescom last year.
Is it really that surprising this year will be barren. Nintendo is probably taking a year off to set up for Switch 2, just like they did for Wii and Wii U. At best, we will probably get 1 or 2 remakes/smaller titles, to fill out the 2nd half, announced in June. I guess place your bets on what else the Switch gets.Nintendo won’t be attending Gamescom 2024

You need to watch that Pokemon announcement again because that is not what they are giving you (and its a 2025 title anyway.)we are in for another 3DS remake to come alongside Luigi's Mansion 2 and Pokémon X&Y this year
My bad, I just remembered some Pokémon X&Y thing. I guess it is a Legends title just set in Kalos. You need to watch that Pokemon announcement again because that is not what they are giving you (and its a 2025 title anyway.)
I hope if they ever port TPHD in the future that they go back and fix all the stuff they broke. TPHD is missing all the Gamecube/Wii EFB (embedded frame buffer) effects, that means any sort of blur or distortion is gone. They still hardcoded in blurs for cutscenes using a hardcoded depth but in gameplay they are missing, it makes the water look terrible and basically any heat haze is just missing. Bloom is also scaled incorrectly to the higher resolution (a common issue in these HD ports, Halo MCC has this problem).Twilight from Wii U
My totally impossible wish is that they return the vastly superior GCN visual style in WW but keep the Wii U QoL improvements.I hope if they ever port TPHD in the future that they go back and fix all the stuff they broke. And funniest of all, the audio on the title screen for the horse is flipped because its part of the music and the port is based on the Wii version, which is mirrored. TPHD unmirrored it but they didn't use the Gamecube version of the title screen music so the horse sound is backwards
You do know TTYD is getting a remake next month, right? And last year we got a Gamecube remaster + two ports. And we’ll definitely get Prime 2 Remastered early next year at the latest, but they could shadow-drop it next Direct and I wouldn’t be surprised.I can also weirdly see a GC game making it. We have pretty limited options currently, but Prime 2, a Zelda duel pack of Wind Waker & Twilight from Wii U, or something strange like Chibi-Robo could be released. The Wii, DS and GBA have all gotten niche IP comebacks, so GC seems left out.
Do you care about actually farming or do you just want a pretty farm with lots of crops growing and underlings tending them?Whats the best farming sim currently available for the Switch? Ive been through some emulated Harvest Moons recently but id like something more modern to try.
Stardew Valley didnt do it for me... Maybe it's the setting, or the art style, but it just doesnt draw me in as many chances as ive given it
