Why on Earth do we keep lying to these people? Telling them that turning their penis inside out magically makes a “fully functional vagina”? It’s bizarre to me. Even back when I believed in a lot of the things trans activists were saying I realised that genitals weren’t magic and you couldn’t turn a penis into an actual vagina. I still understand that gender dysphoria is a real thing but outright lying to them is NOT helping. They’re literally developing necrosis because of this lie. No other treatment for mental illness does this.

Babysoots OP: I went to an OBGYN trained in gender affirming care. Her team assessed the damages and took very good care of me. It has been cleaned and we were given instructions and resources on how to keep the wound clean and help it heal.

OBGYN trained in gender affirming care... Exactly who you want to go to when you have wound separation and necrotic tissue. But hey, at least your vagina is fully functioning. The OBGYN said so.

You think that might have peaking one of the more naive and well-intentioned OBGYN? Or am I being too optimistic?

Update 2 (Info from Dr Frances Grimsted)

It was a complication. Seems like the stitches were rushed and a ton came undone. I dont have any walls to the first bit of my vaginal canal but she assured me that it is a fully functional vagina.

Next lets talk about the skin flaps at the top. Those were what covered the holes and were secured by the stitches. When the stitches let go those skin flaps went up to their resting position. The left flap (if you're facing the picture) took all the tissue under it with it. The right flap had healed a bit more and so the tissue beneath stayed behind. The yellow bits are discharge (totally normal) and the black bit near the vagina is indeed necrotic tissue. It will be removed in a few months once its safe to do so. The line of tissue left behind by the right flap is most likely going to tear. But new growth will replace it.

At the end of the day: keep dilating and stay away from Rumer.

Not the ones using trans acceptance to get away with their perversions obviously but the ones who genuinely got suckered into this. I shouldn’t care more about them than their doctors and their own community.

That's exactly the case. There is a little low down corner. We had a medical illustration on here somewhere. Whole thing is an engineering flaw from the very start.

You're told that this is the answer to lifes problems, you're really a girl/boy, so you of course start to genuinely recognise that your body does not match this, its like an ocd thing really but they develope genuine suffering and that's what is so shitty and unfair about "crakcing eggs"
They tlak about how "I didn't have any bottom dysphoria til I had my top surgery and now it's crushing", just getitng deeper and deeper, chasing the dragon, of practical, external, fixations that they can hook in external "help" for.

Occasionally, you hear about people with absolutely horrific traumatic injuries who are calm and detached even as they bleed out everywhere. It's almost as though the brain just decides that if it ignores what's happening, it's not as bad as it seems. There are multiple famous examples of soldiers who continue attacking the enemy despite suffering severe, disabling physical injuries.

This is the worst wound dehiscence I've ever seen. I think it looks indisputably bad enough that someone at the Boston Children's Hospital gender clinic is going to be obligated to take some sort of action instead of circling the wagons.

I had a similar thought considering how hard is to prescribe antibiotics nowadays.

See this is the biggest thing, why the Cass report that just came out makes a lot of sense even if you are sympathetic to Trans arguments. The conception of this stuff as unchanging feelings and truths is demonstrably at odds with the experience that most of the people report here. It's clear that they are all suffering from from some kind of mental illness or abnormal psychology, but it's only when they are presented with this as a solution that they latch onto it and begin obsessing over it. As much as I hate the movement itself, it's hard not to feel sympathy for these people because they were promised a dream by grifters and mutilated by them. It's not like making fun of them on kiwi farms makes any big difference, but I don't actually want anything but for this mental illness to be recognized as mental illness, which is to say that it should be something that they are helped to work through so they can live functional lives. Even if that's socially presenting as a woman! (though, of course that doesn't negate the need for sex segregated spaces). But you cannot possibly present this horror as a solution to these people's suffering. It's nothing short of a criminal abrogation of responsibility by the psychiatric industry.
