A prolapsed mitral valve is easier to image than a tricuspid aortic valve, and it takes longer to prove that both valves are in good shape. Even for someone who's actually had scarlet fever.

Just got done watching the Mersh stream. The facade definitely cracked here. Legit felt bad for the man, trying to put on a brave face even while the absolute despair of how everything has gone wrong slips out. I think being accused of faking his illness actually got the stoic internet aristocrats goat. to be fair though, I don't blame him either.

Yeah, my point is that there's reason to think that the diagnostic process wasn't done correctly for someone. Is there anywhere else that Jim goes into detail on the unique, rarer shit on his record?

Especially the headaches, since he refers to them first whenever he talks about pain.

Not necessarily (skin cancer being easy) if you get melanoma and it spreads, that shit can kill fast.

With that said...

Yeah blood cancers are no joke. They may have a high 5 year survival rate, but you spend those 5 years on chemo which makes you super ill. Metokur may even live to be old but that chemo is probably making him wish he could die.

I had cancer with a lower survival rate (Kidney cancer, 70%) but it was cut out early so I should have the full 70% chance...

Mine took a single operation - the only alarming part for me is that it showed up in the first place.

The stats are difficult because of the ages involved, so if you're otherwise healthy, you are probably in that 70% - how long has it been since you got the all-clear?
